the IDEATOR is a huge 27 hour hackathon where attendees can tap into the essentials to build a start-up: mentorship, cofounders, training, resources and funding. You will be asked to produce project that match one of the three core tracks: Life Science, Small Business & Social Entrepreneurship or Monash Challenge. Any type of participants regardless of sector or technical knowledge is welcome. There will be coaches and mentors circling. The Telstra Hackathon is a free weekend-long Hackathon where you will be competing for cool prizes and receive any IP generated during the event.

WIRED Monash and UNIHACK are hosting another hackathon. The UNIHACK Mini is a hackathon targeted for first-time hackers, and is only open to Monash University students, including students from Caulfield, Berwick, Parkville and Peninsula, to practice their coding skills while being mentored by the best of the best. Teams of four students will have 27 hours to create a prototype of their idea, and get feedback from mentors before pitching them to a panel of judges.
