Bunbury Interschool Hackathon
06 Dec - 09:30 AM
Bunbury, Australia
What is a Hackathon? A hackathon is a fast paced problem solving event, typically lasting a couple of days in which a large number of people meet to engage in collaborative problem solving across disciplines, interests and skills. We will have around 100 students from 5 government and private schools in the area, who, in small teams will tackle a few problem statements provided in advance. The students will work on the idea across Wednesday and Thursday, and will finish by pitching the idea to their peers, and industry judges.  Who can attend? We are inviting students in years 8-11 from schools in the area to join us. Students may be across multiple year groups or a single year group, dependant on the school. Staff who attend can be placed in an interschool teachers team to participate, or they can be in the gallery observing. When? Wednesday 6th December 9.30am-3pm Thursday 7th December 9.30am-3pm Where? Maker and Co, Bunbury This event is proudly supported by Spacecubed, Maker + Co, All Saints, and the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science.
