Red Cross Hackathon Advancing Social Cohesion
01 Mar - 09:00 AM
Carlton, Australia
Join the Red Cross Hackathon focused on the interactions between culture, language, religion, and social cohesion in modern Australia. Participants with a range of perspectives and diverse backgrounds are invited to come together to define a specific ‘problem’ relating to social cohesion and workshop a potential solution in a sprint-style of workshopping. With a clearly defined problem, participants then brainstorm solutions or ‘hacks’ to develop innovative solutions. The types of ideas can be tech-based or not but should focus on an information-drive, systems type solution. Groups will go through an ‘ideation’ phase where they will come up with ideas, a prototype phase where ideas will be tested, and the pitch which will be delivered at the Practitioners’Forum.
Global Service Jam Melbourne 2016
26 Feb - 08:30 AM
Hawthorn, Australia
Join the Global Service Jam to get a taste of Design Thinking and make a new music service in 48-hours. This is a human-centred design-led hackathon that will use the musical metaphor of "jamming" to make great and new music. In a service design jam, the people are the musicians, who will make products and services they could not create alone. Moving your ideas from concepts to prototypes. Other people will be able to play with your prototype, ask questions, add features, remove features, and help you make something that others will be delighted to use!
