Goodstart Hackathon - Adelaide
02 Nov - 10:30 AM
Adelaide, Australia
The Goodstart Hackathon will bring together educators, families, community groups and business to help identify how we support children and families with their early childhood needs both now and into the future.
Run simultaneously across the country, we will have live crosses to five capital cities throughout the day.
We have some ideas our Goodstart centres have been prototyping and we want other people passionate about children and families to help us develop services that better support families.
This opportunity is for you if you are passionate about:
• Outcomes for children and families
• Early learning offers that work now and into the future
• Working with ideas to make them even better
• Learning new ways of working
• Rolling up your sleeves to help build something we can all be proud of
This event could not be possible without the support of Microsoft Australia, PwC Australia and the Innovation Unit.

ARE YOU A HACKER, HIPSTER, HUSTLER OR HUMANITARIAN?
WANT TO CO-CREATE TECH SOLUTIONS FOR REFUGEES LIVING IN SA?
Following the success of the Techfugees Hackathons in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, it's finally time for Adelaide to take part in this global initiative!
The Techfugees Adelaide Hackathon will bring together developers, designers, entrepreneurs, marketers, business minds and community members to develop creative tech solutions that focus on improving the lives of refugee families in Australia.
Former refugees who have already settled in Australia will be participating in this event to help teams deeply understand the problems and challenges faced by new settlers. The format of the Hackathon will draw strongly on co-design principals and practices.
Leaders from Adelaide's burgeoning Tech community will mentor teams through the weekend.
We launch and form teams on Friday evening and work together on solutions throughout the weekend until pitch time on Sunday afternoon.
We will continue to update this event page as more details are confirmed including venue, sponsorship and prize information.
Please also keep up to date through our social media pages and devpost profile.
