"Azure Bot Service speeds up development by providing an integrated environment that's purpose-built for bot development with the Microsoft Bot Framework connectors and BotBuilder SDKs. Developers can get started in seconds with out-of-the-box templates for scenarios including basic, form, language understanding, question and answer, and proactive bots." That's how Microsoft describes the Bot Framework on their homepage. The Chatbot In A Day workshop gives you a jumpstart on the matter by providing the right mix between technology overview and hands-on experience. Our agenda is split into two parts with one focusing on the basics in a more traditional teaching environment and the second part with a hackathon-style format with two possible challenges to choose from to create your very own bot. This workshop is targeted for developers and ITpros. You don't necessarily need to have programming experience to participate - you can also participate in a project as creator, UX/UI/graphic designer, copywriter, creative, organizer, analyst, mentor, and the like. The event will be held in English. Please bring your own notebook!

At the end of our fruitful semester of Women And Code - an event series for women - we want to celebrate - and how to better do that than with a HACKATHON? :) A hackathon is a full-day event where people - in our case women*, sorry boys ;) - create their own projects in small groups during the course of a day.
