Impact Now is een reeks lokaal verankerde evenementen gericht op bedrijven, organisaties en individuen die streven naar positieve verandering in België. De evenementen zijn gewijd aan het thema ‘impact’ en de Sustainable Development Goals zijn de rode draad. Impact Now is ontstaan vanuit de urgentie om te handelen voor onze planeet en onze samenleving. We kunnen de uitdagingen waarvoor de mensheid staat enkel oplossen als we impact centraal stellen in elke actie, op alle niveaus, van burgers tot bedrijven, instellingen en influencers. Als u net als ons denkt dat we samen sterker zijn, dan is Impact Now iets voor u. DEEL #1 De namiddag is gericht op commerciële en sociale ondernemingen, investeerders, academici en publieke autoriteiten. Het doel is om samen te bouwen aan een duurzame transitie. 14u: Verwelkoming 14u30: Conceptualisatie van het thema ‘impact’ 14u45: Uitleg over hoe u een B-corp certificaat kunt verkrijgen 15u: Een hackathon, waarbij we zoeken naar manieren om de samenwerking tussen de verschillende actoren van het ecosysteem te verbeteren De hackathon is georganiseerd rond vier clusters die gelinkt zijn aan de Sustainable Development Goals. U kunt op uw ticket de cluster aanduiden die het best overeenstemt met uw activiteiten of interesses. Purpose and objective In line with the EU-FOSSA 2 project, the broad theme for the Hackathons is Security. The participants will be co-creating the future of Open Source in the heart of Brussels! This pioneering initiative is a series of three consecutive hackathons that take place in April, May and October 2019.

On Sunday the 28th of April, Infrabel launches its very own open data portal and it will also be the opportunity to launch its first hackathon. Register now! Professionals, students, rail passengers and journalists are invited to discover and manipulate these new datasets. The event will take place in Infrabel's headquarters in Brussels, literally a stone's throw from the station Brussel-Zuid. Several workshops will be hosted during the day: visual creation (dataviz), ideation, prototyping new services,... Experts, beginners and curious are welcome to imagine and represent mobility innovations by using our data including a highly anticipated dataset for mobility and in the railway sector. Transithons!, une initiative du Festival Maintenant! Le Transithons! c'est un marathon de créativité, une opportunité d’affiner des idées pour la transition vers un monde plus durable et d’en faire de véritables projets à impacts positifs. Un week-end de travail intense, pendant presque 50 heures, pour oser confronter les idées à la réalité dans un cadre bienveillant et sécurisant, entouré par une équipe spécialisée dans l’accompagnement de projets. L’opportunité de se regrouper en équipes, d’élaborer des prototypes (site web de présentation, maquette,…) et de les valider auprès des générations futures. Une organisation qui favorisera la collaboration entre les équipes et veillera à une utilisation raisonnable des ressources, avec l'esprit et les valeurs du Festival Maintenant! Participation: recommandée pendant les 3 jours Repas et boissons: auberge espagnole le vendredi soir (partage de vos petits plats), puis nous nous occupons des autres repas du WE (boissons bio et locales comprises) Zéro déchet / zéro trace: apporter votre assiette, couvert et verre pour le WE! Matériel: vos laptops, post it, crayons et bics sont les bienvenus. Dans l'esprit de la transition, nous proposons un montant d'inscription démocratique (40€) nous permettant de couvrir les frais de base de l'organisation d'un tel week-end (matériel, locaux, communications, nourriture et boissons bio, locale et de saison le samedi et le dimanche). Welcome on Mars !  Année : 2050 Nom de code : Space Office Lieu : planète Mars, au sein de la station 'Microsoft Innovation Center Belgique' Date : du 26 au 28 avril de cette année lumière Votre mission : créer le tout premier bureau sur cette planète vierge Message : Cher collaborateur,  Vous avez été sélectionné pour participer au prochain décollage pour Mars. Vous avez été choisi pour vos aptitudes en développement et votre créativité. Votre mission, si vous l'acceptez, sera de créer le tout premier bureau sur la planète Mars. Pour mener à bien cette tâche, vous et votre équipe aurez exactement 3 jours. Vous devrez faire abstraction de tout ce qui existe sur Terre pour innover et développer de nouvelles solutions liées à l'espace de travail. Afin d'aboutir à un résultat concrète, du matériel de pointe sera mis à votre disposition : Hololens, Surface, Raspberry Pi, Arduino...    Conditions d'admission : être étudiant, aimer la nourriture de l'espace, créer une équipe pluridisciplinaire  de 4 ou 5 personnes est préférable (dev, graphic designer...). Conditions de vie : possibilité de dormir dans la station.  Toutes les infos pratiques vous seront envoyées lorsque vous aurez accepté la mission. You have always dreamt of developing your own game but don't really know how to proceed? You want to experiment development with the Hololens through the building of a serious game? You want to sharpen you skills in Unity and see how far it can take you? This one-week workshop will be the perfect opportunity for you to do any of the things listed above and much more! During 5 days, you will have the chance to learn more about game design, Unity and the gaming industry as a whole, while developing on the latest piece of technology around: the Hololens! The ultimate goal of this workshop? To teach you to develop a game by yourself so that you can do so at home on your own afterwards. Use your imagination to create even more wonderful games for everyone out there! Who is this workshop for? You need to match the following conditions in order to be eligible to join us: Be a pro developer, a student or a job seeker with a strong interest in game development Have a first knowledge of Object-oriented C#. Upon registration, you will be asked to answer a series of questions that will help us assess your level. A first experience in Unity is a plus, but not mandatory. Who are the coaches? For the theoretical part (game design & industry's insights), Alexandre Wyns will be your key contact. With more than 10 years of experience in the game design field, he is also a teacher/trainer in various schools and training centers related to game development, and definetly has a lot to share! For the technical part (Unity & Hololens), Éloi Strée will provide you with all the support you'll need. As a freelance game developer, VR trainer and hackathon fanatic, he will be the perfect fit to answer your most technical questions and help you get better at developing on Unity. What is the content of the program, exactly? - April, 8 : Introduction to game design Learn the basic principles of game design, such as: What do you have to think about when creating a game? What are the main steps you should go through? How do you make your game balanced in terms of ressources, mechanics, etc.? What is a gameplay loop? - April, 9 : Introduction to the Hololens and Unity Never tried the Hololens on? We'll have some for you to play around with it! Then, we'll jump right into the introduction of Unity. You'll start off by learning the basic functionnalities and the interface of Unity, and by the end of this first day you'll have done your first hologram in Unity and you'll have exported it as a Hololens application. - April, 10 : Going deeper into Unity We'll keep on learning Unity, because there's a lot to cover! You'll learn about the philosophy of Unity3D (VRTK, Unity Store, unitypackage, etc.) and you'll explore and experiment with the HoloToolKit code. - April, 11 : Checking that everything works out You'll finalize your game and test it with the other participants. Depending on the level of difficulty/details that you will have selected for this last step, the final results will slightly differ in terms of visuals and complexity. - April, 12 : Gaming Industry's insights and Q&A Alexandre will come back to give you more insights on the gaming industry and give examples of how a game goes from ideation to production, along with anecdotes and do's and don'ts. Together with Éloi, they will tell you more about the reality of being a belgian entrepreneur in this field and what you need to do if you want to become one yourself. This will be under the form of a discussion, where you will be able to ask your burning questions on the spot and the ones you will ideally have prepared throughout the week. Extra information! This workshop is not 'à la carte'. We expect you to be fully commited during the whole week - which should be obvious if you are interested in the topic! You will work in small groups (depending on the final number of participants) as it makes it easier for the coaches and faster for you. The assets and the projects will be given to you from the beginning, as being a 3D designer is a completely different job. Unless all participants are french speakers, this workshop will be given in English. Une compétition de 48 heures avec des coachs et des jurys issus de la technologie, de l’innovation et du business.  Des récompenses à la hauteur du challenge et l’opportunité d’entreprendre au-delà du marathon!
