List of hackathons in Sofia, Bulgaria in 2016

SpacerR 2016 represents a new kind of hackathon that mixes elements of a robotics competition with elements of a typical hackathon! Teams will have 3 days to build a robot for an event category and these robots can then compete in brackets for prizes.

AngelHack is coming to Sofia with yet another hackathon to prove that anyone can code! No matter what age, race, gender, experience level, you are or have, you are perfectly able to create game changing applications and technologies that have never been imagined before. Creativity and willpower is the only thing that differentiates you. Mind and skill are what conquer all! Your challenge is simple. Build a technology that will have a positive impact on the world, people, or environment.

This hackathon is about developing GNU/Linux distributions for your embedded and IoT projects using Yocto Project and OpenEmbedded distribution building instruments. Yocto has been established as de facto standard for embedded systems and wearable devices. Information will be provided on how to build your own device specificly with Linux distribution and software applications. For the practical demo you will use Raspberry Pi and open source hardware circuit boards OLinuXino from the Bulgarian manufacturer Olimex.
