List of hackathons in Bedford, Canada in 2016

Volta Labs and Atlantic Lottery are teaming up to put on the first ever Atlantic Lottery Hackathon.001: Probability and Randomness! The anything goes 4 day hackathon will have mini prizes throughout the week and a Hacker’s Choice award in addition to the prizes listed below, and bonus points will be awarded for sticking to the theme of probability and randomness. This hackathon differs from others in that competitors can compete solo, join a team, or join multiple teams, there's is no limit on your team involvement!

Are you in the dev/design/tech/startup community in Halifax, NS? Get ready to hack at Volta! Camp! Make something awesome for one of the three participating Volta companies: The Rounds, PACTA or Zora. You'll compete for one of three cash prizes -- minimum $800 each! Each participating company will provide a clear explanation at the beginning of the hackathon of the problem/idea/feature that they want fixed/built. Guidelines for what qualifies as a winning idea will also be provided. Judges from each of the three participating companies will evaluate the competing hacks and ultimately pick a winner for each.

The Halifax hackathon is the next hackathon ever since the Global Game Jam in January, and this time it will be open to anything: hardware, software, games, etc. In other words, if you can hack it, you can make it! The main aim of this event is for you to make something awesome, meet fellow developers, designers, techies, and startupers in Halifax, show off what you made and win amazing prizes!
