About The Event
This Deep Dive event is a weekend long event in collaboration with Brain Awareness Week. This Deep Dive is aimed at bringing together students from across disciplines to develop creative applications of neuroimaging data.
Teams will compete to develop the most innovative brain-computer interface (BCI) application, using open-source software packages and data.
No prior background or experience needed to participate!
Students in Neuroscience, Computer Science and curious data geeks are all welcome! Teams will be formed on Friday evening. Mentors will be on hand to provide support. It's all about fun, creativity and learning!
There will be free food and beverages! Cash prizes will also be awarded in two categories:focusing on Machine Learning and Applications.

The Dalhousie Computer Science Society, MOBIA, and the Halifax Stanfield International Airport Authority invite you to participate in the student-run CSS Data Visualisation Hackathon. You'll get to work with data sets from the airport and be asked to address use cases that represent real-world problems faced by airport staff. Your team will be challenged to design a solution using the HTML5 Canvas element and Javascript to visualize the data in practical and innovative ways.
