Ludum Dare is the oldest International Game Creation Competition. The theme will be released at 7:00pm MDT and the contest will last 72 hours. Nimble Programmer will host a hackathon from 6:30 to 9pm on the 20th and 10am to 2pm on the 21st. Pre-requisites: Age 16 and above. Younger than 16 may participate with an adult. We will be using Ruby/Gosu and participants can meet others and form teams on the first night. Participants can use other game frameworks if they like. We will have a few monitors but competitors should bring their own equipment such as Mac or PC laptops or a Raspberry Pi 3. (Gosu runs slowly on a Raspberry Pi Zero due to lack of a graphics processor.) This will be in our bootcamp classrom at 9125 50 St NW, Edmonton, AB T6B 2H3.
