List of hackathons in New Westminster, Canada in 2015

Two days. Three cities. More than 400 participants from across Canada. SportsHack will bring together teams of hackers in Toronto, Vancouver and Halifax to compete in developing innovative sports-related software solutions. This year, in partnership with the Canadian Football League (CFL), SportsHack challenges you to develop real world technologies from the CFL's real world data. The final challenge(s) will not be announced until the event begins, but all of the necessary materials and data will be released prior to the event. Follow #SportsHack15 for upcoming details, so that your team can start planning. At the end of the weekend-long hackathon, regional finalists from the three locations will advance to the national round, where they will have the opportunity to make a virtual pitch to our panel of judges. Protohack: the Code-Free Hackathon happened at the end of August and produced a number of incredible ideas. Of the 22 teams that took part in the 10-hour prototyping hackathon, there were 5 that really resonated with our audience and panel.     Hackathon: an event, typically lasting several days, in which a large number of people meet to engage in collaborative computer programming.   Protohack: a 12-hour 'hackathon' without any programming or coding. Instead, participants came together to connect, collaborate, and create through prototyping tools. For more information on Protohack: protohack.org   We will be bringing back our top 5 teams to participate in a Showcase that includes a long-form presentation of their original 90s pitch and a Q&A to share with us about their Protohack experience and update us on what's happened since the event.    In the audience, there will be a number of our panelists, VCs, Angels, Founders, and other influential members of our startup community.
