The GDSoc Annual Game Jam is back! Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to create a game in 48 hours!

PyGE is an object oriented event driven game engine written in Python for the Pygame Graphics library. The engine makes game development as easy as possible - without sacrificing power or customizability. With community created guides and tutorials it is extremely easy to get your first game up and running in no time. Help us test this exciting new engine. This Hackathon will provide High School students a chance to demonstrate their programming skills with software development, Web or App development or other technology based solution to a real world problem. Gain insight from experts in the the field and meet with potential employers. Your goal will be to create functional software, hardware, or product by end of the event (26 hours) and then to present your product to the judges. Boost your resume, WOW local employers and have fun! Get your friends to create a team of 3 or 4, create a team when you in the morning of the hackathon or go it alone. Since this is an overnight event – you might want to bring a sleeping bag.

A Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics hackathon at Angus Glen Community Centre. The theme this year is "Deep Space".  You can make anything related to STEM and space. It can be a program, a game, a design concept, or almost anything else you can think of.
