$7000 in total Prize money to be won!
$4000 1st Place
$2000 2nd Place
$1000 3rd Place
Using customized Parrot BeBop2 drones - your team will develop on custom SDK's to command a drone swarm capable of flying surveillance missions to seek out, identify and confirm high point-value targets in a 5000 sq ft custom indoor course.
You dont need to be a drone pilot - we'll take care of that. Instead you'll be focusing on A.I., Machine Learning and Image Processing development to run successful surveillance missions, allow your drones to communicate with each other and relay imaging data for processing.
Our last Hackathon was a big success - and we're expecting this event to be even bigger and better.
First things first - You'll need register, either as an individual or a team.
Then once you're registered, you'll be invited to submit your (or your team's) application to us. With only 100 spots available, we'll be selecting teams based on a blend of academic pursuits in engineering/electronics/software, co-op work experiences, summer jobs and of course - your own interests and hobbies.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
Please bring your photo/government ID so that you can show us you are who you told us you were when you registered...
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
For those driving - FREE PARKING is on site and there's a map on the event page.
For those taking Public Transit, the Burlington Transit Route 87 runs from both Burlington and Aldershot GO stations to directly in front of the event site. Click here for a schedule: https://bit.ly/2tBp7hR
What can I bring into the event?
Whatever you need to be comfortable and productive for 36 hours.
We'll provide some air mattresses and couches to catch some zzzz's on. We'll feed you and keep you hydrated, and we'll make sure there's lots of snacks for late-nite munchies.
How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
You can email hackwescam@l3t.com for any questions you have. We'll respond as quickly as we can.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Nope. We'll have your name and you'll have your ID so that should do it.
Can I update my registration information?
Yup. Eventbrite will notify us of any updates to your registration. If you want to be extra sure, email us at hackwescam@l3t.com to be sure.
Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?
Nope. If there are any changes to your team, you'll need to notify us of whomever cannot attend. Whomever joins your team will need to register the same way you did. If that happens, email us at hackwescam@l3t.com and we'll walk you through it.
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
Nope. Please register using your normal/given name and what matches your ID. Registering as "Breezy" or "HackDAWG" won't get you very far...
