EWH Symposium, Feb 22nd, 8:45 am–5:30 pm
William Doo Auditorium, 45 Willcocks Steet, Toronto, ON M5S 1C7
The annual EWH symposium is organized entirely by graduate and undergraduate students for the University of Toronto community. This symposium aims to expose the UofT community to current global health initiatives. This year, we will focus on how engineering solutions can contribute to interdisciplinary health challenges in low- and middle-income countries.
The symposium spans a full day of lectures, panel discussions, networking opportunities and a poster session. Participants will have the chance to learn more about exciting global health topics and network closely with leaders in the field. We are very excited about this conference as it will bring together a diverse group of passionate scientists, government, and industry representatives to promote world health to the next generation.
We are accepting poster submissions describing innovative solutions to global health challenges, including already published data. Please use the registration form to submit your poster abstract (max. 2000 char.). There will be two poster prizes!
EWH Ideathon, Feb 28th, 9:00 am–8:30 pm
Rm 412 Rosebrugh Building, 164 College Street, Toronto, ON, M5S 3G9
This complementary event to the EWH symposium is an opportunity for students to work in interdisciplinary teams, apply their knowledge gained from the symposium, and generate innovative ideas geared at solving global health issues. This is not a hackathon, rather this is a gathering of brilliant minds ready to spark positive change. Participants are not required to attend the symposium beforehand, however, the talks and panel discussions at the symposium will certainly help provide important insights and guidance for this competition.
