List of hackathons in Nicolaou Pentadromos Centre, Cyprus in 2016

CCMC is hosting a hackathon, where young people will collaborate intensively using ICT skills to develop tools or products that will be used by local organisations (NGO's, non-profit organisations, student organisations, social enterprises, etc.). During the Hackathon, young people will learn the process of planning the project and its different elements, look for data and information about the theme of the project and analyse it, find solutions and solve problems, cope with unexpected situations during the development of the project, learn how to communicate with the 'consumer' and understand their needs while putting them into practice.

The Culture Shift hackathon is organized to help motivate cultural economies across the globe. The model has a proven track record of stimulating innovation in the cultural sector worldwide. This event is similar to a hack weekend; where business ideas are generated and tested over a short period of time by designers, developers, innovators, individuals and groups from the local cultural sector. You will aim to develop a range of ideas and digital prototypes that solve or build on challenges regarding the cultural sector in Cyprus.
