List of hackathons in Mantsala, Finland in 2016

SomeJam is a communal event which uses digital technology in order to enhance the well-being of youth. Bringing together the know-how and creativity of various areas of work for a 48 hours hackathon to create new concepts such as web services for youths, mobile applications or other services utilising digital technology. Mentors for the teams are top specialists of new technology who have worked with or had influence in many Finnish social media companies and startups. A jury of technology specialists will pick and announce the winner who will get funding for further development and finalisation of his/her project.

Hackathons at Tuxera: a unique opportunity to develop your coding skills, learn from industry experts and meet other technology enthusiasts. This is the first in a series of events to learn and build new ideas and explore new possibilities around data storage and file and content management in mobile devices (Android and iOS) and the cloud. You'll learn the main tools, principles and patterns for handling and interacting with content and data stored locally or in the cloud, and how to build a great app and take it to the market. During the hackathons you will work in small teams. You can come up with your own ideas but we’ll also have a list of topics and challenges to help you get started. At the end of the event you can showcase your progress; keep in mind that this is a series of monthly events and you are encouraged to take part in all of them. In the final hackathon there will also be a give away with great prizes!

This hackathon brings together artists, programmers, designers, humanists, educators and others to create something new out of open cultural heritage materials!

This hackathon hosted by Onsight Helsinki and Sininen Meteoriitti is aimed for developers who want to learn and build new ideas with the help of Office 365 and the add-in model. You'll learn about the latest features, sample code, patterns & practices for creating Office add-ins. Come up with amazing solution together with your team and get the chance to win spectacular prizes. All you need is your laptop with Visual Studio Code or Visual Studio 2013/2015 installed, JavaScript and HTML skills and good energy!
