Data hackers! Come and participate in the Euroclear Text Mining Hackathon. The aim will be to identify key fields in unstructured financial legal documentation—unlocking access to data in thousands of legal documents available through the Euroclear platform.

After the tragic attacks of 22 March 2016, MolenGeek decided to host a hackathon for creating applications which will optimize the emergency services in Molenbeek in case of rescue operations. The focus will lie on protection, alerting and rescuing. For this edition of Apps For Ghent you will focus on geodata and maps. There are two types of participants. One to be taking part in the "from scratch hackaton", where you will have to start with nothing and produce a tangible, working (web)application or visualisation by noon, and the other one to be taking part in the "showcase" where you will prepare ahead, continue to work during the hackathon and pitch your concept, prototype, idea to the jury.
