Campus Community Mobility Hackathon: Shape the future with new ideas!
WHAT? | A HACKATHON?
A hackathon is an event in which participants with different kinds of expertise come together to solve challenges and generate creative software, business or design solutions within a short time span. You will find a team and build your vision of the future by developing your own prototype or business model to pitch it to the crowd and compete for the prizes.
WHO? | ATTENDEES
Not only do you have the chance to show what you can do, but the day also offers you the opportunity to exchange ideas with like-minded people and make new contacts! We will have a lot of fun, get to know inspiring people and acquire new knowledge and skills. Developers, creative thinkers, planners, designers and visionaries from all industries and fields are welcome to join the competition to create the best digital solution within these two days.
You can sign up alone or bring your team with you.
HOW? | AGENDA
After presentation of the challenge teams of 3 are put together in project groups to work together on a new, innovative solution. Diversity is encouraged, so open up and try out working interdisciplinary. Give yourself a cool team name and off you go with your project!
Food, snacks and drinks will be provided during the two days. There is the possibility of overnight stay on site (sleeping bag!). For breaks there are corners for you to chill out and have some coffeine intake if needed. At the end of the event weekend you will have the opportunity to present your project to a jury and all participants. The three first-placed teams will receive a total of €1,000 in prize money and other prizes.
Don't forget to bring your laptop, phone and chargers, they are vital to work on your solutions as you might realize. We are looking forward to seeing you!

hackathon x
07 Dec - 12:22 PM
Karlsruhe, Germany
hackathon x is a cooperation between the student organisation Hack & Söhne and the Creative Collections project, which is dedicated to opening up the Badisches Landesmuseum to the participation of its users and developing new digital concepts. Since the museum visit should not only be educational, but also entertaining and fun, the focus of the hackathon is on gaming in museums.
The background to the hackathon is the revolutionary new concept of the Badisches Landesmuseum: museum visitors become active users of the museum. For this purpose, the objects are made accessible in a digital catalogue and the admission ticket is replaced by a user card linked to a personal user account.
The heart of the new concept is the “Expothek”, which resembles a research laboratory. Original objects can be directly displayed on presentation tables, and digital workplaces offer the opportunity to research the objects. Digital features and modern technologies such as 3D scanning and virtual reality also offer innovative ways to experience culture and history. The concept is being tested for the first time in the new permanent exhibition “Archaeology in Baden”.
Join us and become part of this special hackathon! Let’s develop playful approaches to the museum, the collections or the existing digital infrastructure. A special extra: particularly exciting ideas can also be further developed or even implemented after the hackathon.

#Medienberghack19 – VRM-Hackathon "Smart Future"
14 Nov - 05:30 PM
Mainz, Germany
MEDIENBERGHACK19
[ English version below ]
WAS SOLL ICH MITBRINGEN?

Even if you do not have a certain idea yet - do not shy away from partaking. We are sure you are able to contribute with motivation, your very own skill tool kit and a network which we all can benefit from.
WHO IS ALLOWED TO JOIN?
Anybody! Ranging from hackathon newbie to hackathon pro. Developers, managers, editors, artists and hobbyists, journalists or the ones simply curious about the startup branche. You are all welcome to sign up.
DO I NEED AN IDEA?
Not necessarily. Of course it would quicken and facilitate the entire process if you already had one, but it is not a prerequisite. There are always plenty of teams with whom you can join forces.
IS THERE AN ENTRY FEE?
No. You will be able to partake for free.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
Just motivation, a laptop and - best case - an idea already. Everything else will be provided for. We will cover food and beverages during the three hack days.
