    On September 11th to 22nd euVENTION - the EIT Health Summer School and Marsilius Academy 2017 - takes place at Heidelberg University. In the course of the Summer School challenges to improve prevention and treatment options for people, who are at risk or suffer from chronic diseases, are tackled. euVENTION is a two-week program, which uniquely covers all the necessary steps and tools to create your own startup. The participants learn to develop meaningful solutions, using Design Thinking, by creating prototypes and developing state-of-the-art business models. On September 16th we invite IT specialists and Designers for a one-day hackathon to support the teams to create working prototypes for the solutions created during the Design Thinking process. Are they the first sign of Skynet and T-1000s? What tedious tasks are they able to simplify?         VR Hackathon Stuttgart 2017

        Der VR/AR-Hackathon ist ein dreitägiges Event, bei welchem die Teilnehmer innerhalb von drei Tagen eine Virtual Reality App erstellen sollen. Im Gegensatz zu den bisherigen Hackathon-Events wird bei diesem Event eine Problematik vorgestellt und die Teilnehmer können dafür eine eigene Lösung präsentieren. Die Lösung darf kreativ, wissenschaftlich, witzig, verrückt, einzigartig … sein.           Closing Event and Prototype Presentation: IoT/Ethereum/IOTA Summer Camp

          How will the IoT world of tomorrow look like? We cordially invite you to participate in the closing event of our “IoT // Ethereum // IOTA Summer Camp”, in which 14 IoT prototypes based on Ethereum and IOTA will be presented. The event will take place on Friday, September 1, 2017 from 16:00 to 19:00 with subsequent networking at Tatcraft, a maker space in Frankfurt with tooling and 3D printers - the perfect stage for this occasion. From August 28 to September 1, 2017 the "IoT // Ethereum // IOTA Summer Camp" takes place in Frankfurt (Germany) focusing on connecting Ethereum to real IoT products. It is organized as a 5-day hackathon. We will form 14 teams consisting of IT developers and at least one business developer per team. During the summer camp, we will provide the hardware, such as Raspberry Pi and HiKey hardware sets, sensors, actors, and physical products. Bringing these technologies together we teach the teams how to code and program them — developing Ethereum smart contracts, implementing IOTA, connecting real products and coding a frontend. The teams will develop their prototypes in line with the following challenges: Mobility: smart public transportation and smart freight transportation Digital science and smart sensors E-mobility and blockchain infrastructure for delivering electricity More to come... Students will work in small groups around joint applied research ideas in Neuroscience that the students will offer and conceive by themselves. The participants will study how to advance their ideas from the lab to market, understand the needs, the target population, patentability options and how to build a business model. Finally they will present their ideas to industry and academy experts. Alle Erfahrungen, die wir dabei sammeln und Technologien, die wir während dieses zweitägigen Hackathons entwickeln, sollen weitergegeben und -verwertet werden können, damit alle etwas davon haben.                   Virtual Reality ist ein Trend, der die digitale Unterhaltung nachhaltig verändert. VR-Hackathon in Baden-Württemberg die Potenziale von Virtual Reality ausgelotet werden. Veranstaltet wird der Hackathon vom SAE Institute Stuttgart in Kooperation mit dem Spielestudio realitysolutions. Programmierer, Grafiker, Soundspezialisten, Game Designer und VR-Begeisterte sind zur Teilnahme eingeladen, um an einem Wochenende in Stuttgart gemeinsam Anwendungen für Virtual Reality zu entwickeln.
