Social Media: What makes citizens in Borne council tick?   In the Virtual world of the internet, Councils want to know how they can serve their citizens by knowing what their thoughts are. What makes them “tick” in social media (Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, etc.) . And are there new insights available due to innovative combinations of datasets? Are you the one who can help Borne Council to see what the current affairs are?  Can you tell whether the messages in social media are based on facts or fiction? Can you identify the biggest influencers in Borne Community? Are we able to capture the the thoughts and feelings of the people who usually are not vocal? Those are some of the challenges that you are being asked to solve during the Borne Innovation Hackathon. Besides the datasets that you will get during the Hackathon, we are also challenging you to bring your own social media sources, or explain how you are able to access them. The Founders Hack is a hackathon weekend where teams create solutions on the base of existing problems or future visions of the participating companies. The corporates bring challenges out of their business and the teams design solutions wich has the potential of a highflying StartUp.

Taucht ein in die Welt der virtuellen Realität! Wir zeigen euch Schritt für Schritt, wie ihr eigene 3D-Spiele entwickeln könnt und diese VR-fähig macht. Zum Testen verwendet ihr eure eigenen Phones sowie von uns bereitgestellte VR-Pappbrillen. Für ausreichend Verpflegung (Pizza und Getränke) ist gesorgt – kostenlos! Wer kann teilnehmen? Zur Spieleentwicklung braucht es Programmierer, aber auch kreative Köpfe und Grafik-Designer. Im Allgemeinen ist jeder willkommen, der Interesse an Virtual Reality und Game Development hat. Was muss ich mitbringen? Einen Laptop/PC mit Windows oder macOS sowie ein Smartphone mit Android, iOS oder Windows 10 Mobile. USB-Kabel nicht vergessen! Falls vorhanden, bringt auch Bluetooth-Controller (z.B. von der Xbox One S), -Tastaturen und -Mäuse mit, um das Spiel mit aufgesetzter VR-Brille steuern zu können. Mehrfachsteckdosen werden auch immer gebraucht. Wie ist der Ablauf? Wir beginnen möglichst pünktlich gegen 17 Uhr mit einem Einführungsvortrag zum Thema VR-Spieleentwicklung. Dabei lernt ihr 3D-Szenen zu erstellen, Spiellogik zu scripten usw. Anschließend ist Zeit, kleine Teams zu bilden und eine Spielidee zu finden. Die meiste Zeit des Abends verbringt ihr damit, eure Ideen umzusetzen. Zum Testen verwendet ihr eure eigenen Phones sowie von uns bereitgestellte VR-Pappbrillen (ähnlich zu Google Cardboard). Natürlich unterstützen wir euch jederzeit bei technischen Problemen und beantworten Fragen. Zwischendurch gibt es Pizza und Getränke. Je gaat samenwerken met maximaal 4 andere mensen. Een team bestaat dus maximaal uit 5 personen. Trommel dus vooral al je vrienden, mede-studenten en collega's op om ook deel te nemen.   Wat zijn de vervoers-/parkeermogelijkheden voor het evenement?Wij hebben een eigen parkeerterrein waar je je auto kwijt kunt als dit jouw voorkeur heeft wat vervoer betreft. Wij zijn  gevestigd recht tegenover de Universiteit Twente. De dichtsbijzijnde bushalte is op loopafstand. Het treinstation Enschede Drienerlo bevindt zich ook op loopafstand van ons kantoor.  Wat mag ik meebrengen naar het evenement?1. Een goed humeur en enorm veel enthousiasme!2. Je eigen hardware; hierbij kun je denken aan je laptop, muis, toetsenbord, opladers en alle andere apparatuur die jij absoluut nodig hebt om samen met je team te kunnen werken aan jullie idee. 3.
