Ein Hackathon an "Nikolaus"!Der Fokus liegt auf Microsoft Technologien.Was ihr auf dem Hackathon aber bastelt, ist vollkommen euch überlassen. Gesichts- und Spracherkennung über die Microsoft Cognitive Services, Mathematik-Trinkspiele, Lustige Spiele mit Sprachsteuerung und einfache wissenschaftlichen Anwendungen sind nur ein kleiner Teil der tollen Projekte, die in den letzten Jahren am Nikolaus Hackathon entstanden sind.Wichtig ist nur: Um euer Projekt für den Wettbewerb einzureichen, muss der Prototyp komplett auf dem Hackthon entstanden sein und irgendeine Microsoft Technologie nutzen (Cognitive Services, Azure, Xamarin, C# ...).Für Getränke, Snacks, Glühwein und Pizza wird gesorgt sein und der Eintritt ist mit Anmeldung selbstverständlich frei! Außerdem winken kleine Preise für die Sieger!Beginn der Veranstaltung wird am 8. Dezember um 17:30 sein. Ab 19:00 Uhr stehen außerdem auch die Poolräume -143 und -144 im Gebäude zur Verfügung. Es wird dennoch empfohlen, dass ihr eure eigenen Laptops mit installiertem Microsoft Visual Studio mitbringen solltet. Studierende des KIT erhalten dieses kostenlos unter https://www.scc.kit.edu/dienste/9312.php. Bitte beachtet, dass nur begrenzt Plätze verfügbar sind! Kein technisches Wissen in deinem Team vorhanden? Kein Problem! Mit unseren Hardware-Profis klappt es dennoch und dein Team kann sich auf die Software konzentrieren! Smart City? Hä? Das bedeutet: Wenig Schlaf, viel Kaffee und jede Menge kreative Ideen! Hier könnt Ihr Eure Stärken einbringen, die Theorie in die Praxis umsetzen und mit Gleichgesinnten zusammen arbeiten. Wie das Ergebnis genau aussieht, also ob App, Webseite, Konzept oder ähnliches, ist Euch überlassen – Hauptsache es ist innovativ und praktisch!  Darauf kannst Du Dich freuen: Keynotes & Infos rund um das Thema Smart City Arduinos, Sensoren, Gateways - alles was Dein Herz begehrt! On September 11th to 22nd euVENTION - the EIT Health Summer School and Marsilius Academy 2017 - takes place at Heidelberg University. In the course of the Summer School challenges to improve prevention and treatment options for people, who are at risk or suffer from chronic diseases, are tackled. euVENTION is a two-week program, which uniquely covers all the necessary steps and tools to create your own startup. The participants learn to develop meaningful solutions, using Design Thinking, by creating prototypes and developing state-of-the-art business models. On September 16th we invite IT specialists and Designers for a one-day hackathon to support the teams to create working prototypes for the solutions created during the Design Thinking process. Der VR/AR-Hackathon ist ein dreitägiges Event, bei welchem die Teilnehmer innerhalb von drei Tagen eine Virtual Reality App erstellen sollen. Im Gegensatz zu den bisherigen Hackathon-Events wird bei diesem Event eine Problematik vorgestellt und die Teilnehmer können dafür eine eigene Lösung präsentieren. Die Lösung darf kreativ, wissenschaftlich, witzig, verrückt, einzigartig … sein. This “hackathon” style workshop completes and complements the online course on Intellectual Property Rights, Translation and Exploitation of Research. Students will work in small groups around joint applied research ideas in Neuroscience that the students will offer and conceive by themselves. The participants will study how to advance their ideas from the lab to market, understand the needs, the target population, patentability options and how to build a business model. Finally they will present their ideas to industry and academy experts.
