Afin d’appréhender les évolutions IOT (Internet Of Things) et de comprendre les grands enjeux de ces technologies, Excellium vous propose une journée dédiée à cette problématique  le 19 octobre 2018 à l’hotel Novotel Kirchberg.  L’événement permettra d’aborder des enjeux techniques d’un point de vue académique mais aussi dans divers univers industriels, tels que la sécurisation des applications, la sécurité et la mobilité, GDPR, Industrie 4.0, Smart Cities, Véhicule Autonome, ... En parallèle de la journée un Hackaton est organisé, ouvert aux étudiants comme aux professionnels par équipes de 3 à 5 participants.       LTS FINTECH HACKATHON 2018 powered by Temenos and hosted by the LHoFT 29th June - 1st July 2018   What does the bank of the future look like? Last year hackathon has been an eye opener for many professionals in the industry. In just a weekend, 30 students from the LTS came up with unexpected applications and solutions; a bank on the blockchain, an AI for loan application and an App for savings plannification. Read last year article. For this new edition, more than 20 students from the Luxembourg Tech School will work a full weekend to “hack” their concepts for the bank of the future, their bank!           The hack.lu team organizes the third Open Source Security Software Hackathon conference on Monday 26 March 2018.This 1-day Hackathon is dedicated to Free/Open Source Software in the field of cybersecurity. The aim is to gather various developer groups to collaborate on challenging programming problems in the field of cybersecurity: from information sharing, network/system forensic, data mining challenges, network/computer exploitation or defense.The objective of the Open Source Security Software hackathon is also to improve the interoperability and exchange between the different security tools The event is free of charge and will cover projects such as: MISP Threat Intelligence Sharing Platform TheHive Scalable, Open Source & Free Security Incident Response Platform CVE search Common Vulnerabilities & Exposure Web Interface & API AIL Analysis Information Leak framework MONARC Risk Assesment Method Viper Binary analysis and management frameworkThis list is not exhaustive. Teams and individuals will be able to propose their own open source projects they wish to work on. A small note: the two days after the hackathon, there will be a MISP training session.

            The Financial Game of Life With the rise of AI in the Fund Industry, what does the wealth management of the future look like? Why not let the younger generation, the future savers and investors, respond to this tricky question. 20 students from the Luxembourg Tech School will work a full weekend to “hack” their concept and define what will be their Financial Game of Life. About the Luxembourg Tech School The Luxembourg Tech School (LTS) is a new extracurricular school concept that supports the development of future digital leaders.               Hack4Kids: développe ton jeu vidéo! SECURITYMADEIN.LU a le plaisir de vous inviter à un nouvel événement Hack4Kids. Comme l’année dernière, ce Hack4Kids est organisé dans le cadre du « Game of Code », un Hackathon unique au Luxembourg rassemblant une centaine de développeurs professionels et passionés par la programmation venant de toute l’Europe. Cette édition spéciale de Hack4Kids s’adresse aux enfants de 7 à 12 ans et leur permettra de développer un jeu basé sur la plateforme Scratch. L’idée est de promouvoir le travail d’équipe et de leur faire vivre les différentes étapes clefs d’un Hackathon allant de la formalisation d’un concept au développement technique en passant par la présentation des résultats. La nature du jeu sera décidé par les enfants, afin de leur laisser le contrôle complet de la création. Cet événement s’adresse aux débutants, il n’y a aucune connaissances prérequises nécessaires (sauf l’envie de découvrir). Ce Hack4Kids sera donné en français et en anglais. Cet événement est gratuit! Like last year, this Hack4Kids is organized in the frame of “Game of Code” - a unique Luxembourgish Hackathon which gathers a hundred of professional and enthusiastic developers from all around Europe - and will be a simplified version of the challenge targeting adults. This special Hack4Kids edition targets children aged from 7 to 12 years old and will teach them how to develop a game based on the Scratch platform. The goal of this workshop is to promote teamwork and to make children discover the different key steps of a hackathon from the concept formalization to the technical development and finally the presentation of the outcomes. Children will be able to choose the main game’s concept in order to get the control of the game’s creation.                   EmergencEye® Hackathon am Ring An event that you should not miss, meeting more than 100 programmers, coders, designers and business experts to build software solutions around emergency case communication. WHY More than 300.000 People suffer from sudden cardiac arrest every year in central Europe alone. Less than 10% of these people survive this life-threatening situation, resulting on more than 700 deaths every day and these numbers have not changed significantly for years.  In more than 60% of those cases smartphones and thus high-performance computers are used for the communication between Emergency control centers and bystanders. While smartphones have been used as telephones only in the past, the Project aims to enable remote access to bystander held smartphones  incl. leverage of smartphone based functionalities like Vitalsensoric features. The EU-commissioned EIT Health Initiative is supporting the development of EmergencyEye®, a technology that will reliably guarantee remote access to smartphone-based information and functions in health crises and emergency situations. EmergencyEye® will enable people in health crises and emergency situations to share more comprehensive information including Geo-location and video live streams with professional service organizations and thereby receive timely and improved support and guidance. What The RAMSES (Remote Access to Medical Information on Smartphones during Emergencies and Health CriseS) consortium and various project partners commence the EmergencEye® Hackathon am Ring to create software solutions that have not been available before. Hackers, coders, designers and business people will join teams to innovate but also to discuss future commercialization opportunities and build business models. How More than 40 mentors, coaches and experts will support the teams during the entire Hackathon.
