The Global Goals Jam is a two day event where creative teams work together on local challenges related to the Sustainable Development Goals.

The NASA international SpaceApps challenge is an annual 48 hours hackathon organized by NASA and local hosts around the globe. The challenge address the great challenges we are facing on Earth and in space by connecting NASA's data with coders, makers, designers and dreamers around the world. This year the hackathon will be held in Hong Kong for the first time! AXA Hack for Health Calling all tech enthusiasts and medical talents!  This is a FREE event. Your deposit will be fully refunded to you after your completion of the event. At AXA, we want you to “know you can”. Know you can achieve your goals, build on self-belief, and achieve the better life you desire. Join us from October 18-20, 2019 for AXA Hack for Health 2019! It is an exciting hackathon where AI, Data and tech enthusiasts as well as medical talents come together to devise innovative solutions for detection of illnesses and lifestyle management.  We are on the lookout for ideas supported by data, technology and medical evidence! You will have the opportunity to work with professional mentors with experience in various fields, win amazing prizes and further develop your solution within AXA after the Hackathon. Once you have signed up, we will send you more details regarding the participant selection process. Reserving a ticket does NOT mean that you have been accepted into the Hackathon. Note: We invite both individual and team applications. If you are joining as a team, please fill in separate applications for each team mate and put down an identical team name and the number of people in your team.   If you do not put down an identical team name, we cannot guarantee that you will be placed together in the same team. If anyone from your team chooses to drop out from the Hackathon, we will re-evaluate your team application. Each team consists of up to 5 members. You can sign up as a team or as an individual. We may pair you up with other participants if you do not have enough members in your team. For instance, for team applications, if you only have 3 team members, we may team you up with 2 more participants to make a team of 5, we will inform you of any changes to your team prior to the event. We screen all applications and will refund your deposit if you are not accepted into the Hackathon. We will let you know if you are accepted into the Hackathon by batches. The earlier you apply, the higher chance you can get in! Refund Policy Participation in this event is FREE. The HK$120 'ticket price' is simply a deposit and will be fully refunded after the event. Only "no-show" will be charged. If you are not able to join the event, please notify us at least 14 days before the event. Late notification will not be accepted, and the fees will not be refunded. Please email us at hackforhealth@axa.com.hk if you have any questions.   FAQs Does registering for the Hackathon mean I am selected to join the event? We go through a selection process for every application. We accept registrations on a rolling basis. After registering for the event, you will receive an acceptance or a rejection email within 2 weeks. The acceptance/rejection email is going to be sent out by the event host but not an auto-generated email by Eventbrite.  Do I need to form a team before coming to the event? What if I want to participate as a team? How do I sign up? You can either sign up for the event as an individual or as a team. If you are signing up as an individual, we will help you to form your team after you submit your application. If you would like to participate as a team, please fill in separate applications for each team mate, put down an identical team name, and the number of people in your team.   If you do not put down an identical team name, we cannot guarantee that you will be placed together in the same team. If anyone from your team chooses to drop out from the Hackathon, we will re-evaluate your team application. Can I update my registration information? Unless the relevant registration information directly impacts your role in the Hackathon, e.g. role in team (UI/UX designer, business user, medical talent, etc.), we would advise you not to do so.  Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable? No. Since we hand pick each participant, we do not accept transfer of registration. Please make sure that the name you use to register for the event is EXACTLY the same as that in a valid government-issued ID document (HKID card, passport issued by a foreign government body, etc.) We reserve the right to refuse entry if we do not find your name on our registration list that exactly matches your name shown on your ID document. Is it mandatory to stay at the event for all 2.5 days? We would advise you to stay for all of the days of the event. You will be divided into teams to build your solution and mentored by seasoned professionals. The Hackathon is a very action-packed event, hence, we would request you to be at the venue throughout the duration of the event. Is there a refund policy? Participation for this event is FREE. The HK$120 ‘ticket price’ is simply a deposit and it will be fully refunded after the event. However, “no-show” will be charged. If you register for the event but do not show up for the event, we will NOT refund your deposit. Thus, if you are unable to join the Hackathon, please notify us by email (hackforhealth@axa.com.hk) at least 14 days before the first day of the event. Late notification will not be accepted, and refund/transfer requests will not be entertained. In what language will the Hackathon be conducted? The Hackathon will be conducted in English officially. However, please keep in mind that there may be participants who speak English, Cantonese, Mandarin, and other languages at the event. What should I bring to the event? Please bring a laptop with you, so that you can develop your deck and build prototypes. Also, we strongly advise you to bring your own water bottle, laptop charger and mobile charger, warm clothing (for air conditioning), and your ID card for identity verification purposes.  Is there a dress code? No. You may wear what you feel comfortable. We will also be giving out hoodies in our goody bags. Will food be provided? Yes. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided. Classified Post Hackathon is a 24 hours challenge for students and fresh graduates to build winning digital solutions for large corporates. The event is for participants to turn ideas into reality and will serve as a platform for them to develop their prototype, enhance their problem solving skills and to learn and meet with technology industry leaders. And at the same time for corporates to explore shining stars from the participants.
