As the headquarters of SEDS India, SEDS VIT is a student-run organization that envisions a space-faring human civilization and believes that the only way to achieve this would be to utilize the immense potential of our youth by educating, inspiring and empowering them. In the past, SEDS - VIT has organized many successful events like the Indian Space Conclave, Antariksh, SEDS Indian National Conference (SEDSINC), Astra etc. With each event, we take relevant themes from the field of Space Sciences and design interactive conferences or events around them to bring the students abreast with the development in that field. This year, we're back with the second edition of our space-themed hackathon, ASTRA 2020.

Technica is a 36-hour hackathon conducted by ISTE-VIT. Innovation, as they say, is the backbone of technology. Technica ensures that its participants are pushed to their limits and inspired to come up with exciting solutions to real-world problems. The hack is aimed at cultivating a technical temper among the student community and promoting healthy competition among peers. It is one of a kind opportunity for participants to develop their technical skills and kickstart their journey to becoming pioneers in their field.

Developers, entrepreneurs, educators, researchers, tech professionals, and techie students in South India! The Computer Society of India VIT Chapter invites you to attend Devspace at the Vellore Institute of Technology. You'll get to attend talks and workshops, as well as be part of a Capture the Flag event and also participate in the annual Devspace Hackathon that will be held at the event. During the hackathon, you'll be challenged to design and prototype an innovative project using your choice of current hot technologies.

HackBattIe'20 is a hackathon conducted by IEEE-Computer Society of VIT, Vellore. The hack takes place during the month of March. The duration of this hack is of 38-hours. The hack aims at giving all the students a platform to showcase their skills in the field of development. Design, Website development, Mobile application development, along with machine learning, electronics, block-chain and what not! We cover all the possible fields to bring about the true talent of each participant in their respective fields. All the tracks chosen are done so keeping in mind the need of the society and current development issues of our country. The tracks range from a simple multi-platform application to prototypes based on military enhancements. Each track is unique in its own way, bringing out the true innovator within the participants.

We bring you REBOOT 2.0, a 36hr hackathon conducted by IEEE RAS, VIT during the month of March.

The main purpose of REBOOT is to introduce freshers to the world of hacks and foster creativity and a sense of innovation amongst students to bring out the best in them. It also serves as an important platform for every student to make them realise their true potential and the technical field that will appeal to them the most. With the added advantage of crowd-driven ideation, students can now move fast and get ahead of the competition. These projects are the practical application of what students learn every day and some can also lead to startups for which we provide a strong platform for. To summarise it all, REBOOT provides the necessary platform for future innovators and entrepreneurs. We encourage freshers to come and participate along with their seniors and experts from VIT and competitors from other colleges as well.

This has been in the works for a while now. Secret meetings, hushed whispers, code words and what not. We wanted to create something just for you and here you are. Hack-Overflow is a 24 hours Hackathon, set to begin on 21st February. This is the first ever Hackathon event to be conducted by the Computer Science Department in Rajalakshmi Engineering College and we can't wait to see it hit the stands! It can be a great platform for all the participants, to expose themselves to path breaking ideas and highly useful implementations. It can be the path for change makers. The Hackathon will provide socially pressing problem statements and the participating teams should be able to come up with solutions. Various industry and academic experts are to join the Hackathon as the jury. This will also give a glimpse of the field to the teams and will put forth many career opportunities for the students. If the judges are impressed with the performance of the participants, they might even be awarded with opportunities such as internships and job opportunities. Now, doesn't that raise the stakes!
