Pentaho Community Meeting 2018 Pentaho Community Meeting 2018 will take place in Bologna from November 23-25. It will be organized by Italia Pentaho User Group and by it-novum, the host of PCM17. As always, it will be a 3-days event full of presentations, networking and fun and we invite Pentaho users of every kind to participate! For PCM18 we will meet in the beautiful city of Bologna. The guys of Italia User Group will take care of the venue and the program. With Virgilio Pierini as group representative we not only have a Pentaho enthusiast but also a native of Bologna guiding us to the beautiful corners of the hometown of Europe’s oldest university! What is Pentaho Community Meeting? Pentaho Community Meeting is an informal gathering for Pentaho users from around the world. We meet to discuss the latest and greatest in Pentaho products and exciting geek stuff (techie track) as well as best practices of Pentaho implementations and successful projects (business track). PCM18 is open to everyone who does something with Pentaho (development, extensions, implementation) or plans to do data integration, analytics or big data with Pentaho. Several Pentaho folks – architects, designers, product managers – will share their latest developments with us. The event is community-oriented and open-minded. There’s room for networking and exchanging ideas and experiences. Participants are free to break off into groups and work together. La community di sviluppo dell’applicativo open source “iGruppi” chiama developers, hackers, UX e Web designers a contribuire allo sviluppo della propria piattaforma già in uso tra i Gruppi di Acquisto Solidale. Attraverso il codice si creerà un contesto di “innovazione aperta” dove il mondo digitale possa intrecciarsi a quello del consumo critico e consapevole e di una rete territoriale di organizzazioni e aziende, per far nascere sinergie e nuove possibilità.

TEMA: Mobility  Connection – Connessioni in movimento CHALLENGE: Il management di Car Server SPA ci ha lanciato una sfida importante: sviluppare idee e progetti innovativi per individuare nuove funzionalità (o      ripensare quelle esistenti) in un’ottica di migliore esperienza e usabilità. Lo scopo è progettare una nuova app o pensare a nuove funzionalità dell'esistente. La mobilità del futuro può e deve diventare una esperienza di connessioni tra auto, persone, città e spazi urbani OBIETTIVI: Sviluppare applicazioni e progetti più efficaci connessi alla mobilità ed al rapporto tra l’auto ed il contesto (guidatore, passeggieri, strada, città, luoghi). Il team sarà impegnato a trovare soluzioni creative per rendere sempre più personalizzata e su misura l’esperienza di guida e di mobilità. Un modo nuovo che avvicini ancora di più, grazie al digitale, il rapporto tra la persona e la propria auto. Invent-Make-Test-Show; participants will be asked to invent their own IoT application (list of available plug-and-play sensors will be made available), develop it over Embit/Arduino platforms, test it through the net, and finally present it in front of all other participants and the hackathon technical committee composed of industry and academic experts.

Il MIUR promuove la Festa del Piano Nazionale Scuola Digitale, che si terrà in tutte le istituzioni scolastiche e a Bologna dal 18 al 20 gennaio 2018. Una tre giorni di inziative formative e confronti per raccontare e approfondire i temi del PNSD con laboratori, biblioteche e atelier aperti, buone pratiche, gare di innovazione, hackathon e concorsi per le scuole.N.B.
