List of hackathons in Trieste, Italy in 2016

Developers, designers, hackers! Interested in smart city solutions? BEST Ljubljana invites you to participate in a FIWARE BDTN Hackathon to build sustainable ecosystem solutions using public, royalty-free software platforms. Come as a team, or form a team at the event! You'll be challenged to build innovative solutions on the Smart City theme. Network and collaborate with like-minded individuals and compete for a cash prize!

A hackathon is a gathering where developers and others involved in software development (graphic designers, project managers) collaboratively code in an extreme manner over a short period of time. The idea is that teams have the ability and freedom to work on whatever they want. In the FinTech hackathon teams will be challenged to think about innovative technological hacks in the different areas of  FinTech ecosystem. They will be provided with different technological resources and challenged to think how can they solve problems or improve  current services in the fast growing FinTech industry. #HackBofrost is a hackathon organized by Bofrost. Teams will consist of 4-6 people with different profiles: Designers, Developers and Business Developers. The developers will be asked to take care of the code writing, the designers of the product presentations, and the business developers of the business plan.

DragonHack is the first slovenian university hackathon, that is part of Major League Hacking. Students are invited to work together to build awesome projects in just 24 hours. Mentors from technical faculties and companies, and the newest technologies will be supplied. There is no entry fee, but you need to have a valid student card from any faculty or university.

Hackathon Trieste is a 27-hour marathon non-stop in which teams of programmers, designers and artists will think of and realize services (web and app) that can improve the functioning of the city and the quality of life in Trieste. All teams will be provided with data sets and access to databases relating to mobility and environment.
