Interested in the Internet of Things? Sign up today for the AT&T Mobile App Hackathon (IoT) San Diego - Hack-o-ween. The event is sponsored by the AT&T Developer Program in association with CyberTECH. Collaborate with your peers to build an IoT or mobile Smart City app that uses datasets provided by the City of San Diego. Your app must help better serve citizens of San Diego. Scenarios to consider include First Responders, Public Health, Public Safety, Security, Traffic and Transportation, or related areas.

Female high school and college students! Come and collaborate in a team to design a website, game, or mobile app that addresses one of the following real-world challenges: »Challenge 1: Connecting Girls to Success. Create a platform where Girl Force USA members can connect to other members, mentors, and potential employers. »Challenge 2: Creative Repurposing to Reduce Waste: Build a web app or mobile game to engage youth encouraging them to creatively repurpose used items into useful resources.

The WeCanCode 2016 hackathon represents the third installment of the WeCanCode series, where over a hundred hackers will converge along with some of the nations largest developers and tech organizations to create new technologies and applications.. In addition, WeCanCode will once again have lab Hardware provided by MLH which competitors can use to expand ideas and produce a more ambitious project.

This is a hackathon where you can turn your crazy ideas into real stuff. Startup UCSD is giving you the opportunity to hack away at a particular problem with a particular end-user in mind and coming up with a solution in the form of a product or service that people would actually want. It is the time to bring out those ideas, to add the finishing touches to current projects, and to create something completely new. There is no specific theme. You are open to work on any good idea!

​This is a 12-hour event open to all female high school and college students to come and work on websites, games, or mobile apps that address a real world challenge. There is no prior programming experience required! programming is allowed until the day of the event. ​Projects will be judged in 4 categories: Appropriateness to Theme, User Experience & Functionality, Originality & Impact, and Technical Difficulty.

At this Hackathon developers will have approximately 24 hours to turn their ideas into applications using their own programming skills and design, working in teams of 4 people, with the support of experts. Teams will be free to use any programming language in order to develop applications that improve the community. What you will need is your laptop with charger, cell phone charger, gadgets, blanket or sleeping bag for the night, personal cleaning articles. The event is completely free of charge and anyone who has the skills to develop software (students, programmers, freelancers and anyone who knows develop code) is welcome!

ProtoHack exists to show non-coders that they can create something amazing from nothing. We empower and enable the non-technical community with the tools, knowledge and connections that will help bring their idea to life and visually communicate it through prototyping. How does it work? No coding is required. Instead you will use prototyping tools, drag and drop editors, mockups, wireframes and anything else you can think of to VISUALLY demo your idea on stage. (We’ve put together the best tools for non-coders, so don’t fret if you’ve never prototyped.) Although we encourage you to try some prototyping tools prior to attending ProtoHack, we will begin ProtoHack with optional educational workshops on how to use some of the top prototyping tools. You can choose to prototype alone or form a team with other participants and decide on an idea together. Teams can be up to 5 people. You will have 9 hours to produce a prototype. (Remember, you are creating a lean prototype of your idea and it doesn't need to be perfect. The focus should be on visually showing what the idea is.)
