This hackathon is hosted by Space10 - IKEA's future-living innovation lab and will take place at the Binary Futures studio space. The aim of this event is to question and find solutions for the future of co-living and co-working. Connecting spaces, communicating objects, and developing smart materials to change the future technological landscape. The challeng topics are: "Flex Citizenship" - A world with people constantly on the move "Immortal Water" - A world with water shortages "The Flow" - A world with decentralised economy This event is open to all students, designers, developers, technologists, academics, IoT startups, and innovators. In spirit of this year's theme ‘New Power’ -- developers, designers and creatives are invited to unite! This year TEDxAmsterdam is working on a TEDx Open Source project for the new website and as a kick off is hosting their first hackathon to create awesome things for TEDxAmsterdam! That doesn't mean you'll be building a website! No...you're invited to show off your awesome building skills. The journey should include lots of fun! The final program and location are still being worked on, but you'll enjoy a fun day, with cool people and lots of awesome stuff to be made! Who knows, if your hack is that awesome, maybe you’ll see it back on TEDxAmsterdam!

CococaheadsNL is organising the first Dutch NSCoderNight with many to follow. This is a day for having fun with other Cocoaheads, food, drinks and coding.  This is not a corporate hackathon, there are no prices to be won and the event is for developers only. The cost of ticket will cover your diner and some of the basic costs. Drinks will be on your own account. This is a non-profit who are not making any proceeds on this, their year long community sponsors allow them to cover most of the expenses of this event.

This is a three-day hackathon to hack into our brains with ideas on health, care and quality of life. Attendees will be working with different EEG-type techniques to measure, visualize and interpret their own brain activity. Learn what you can do with brainwaves, measure happiness, health, love, and influence the brain to improve our quality of life. Come on...get creative! The creative coding community in Amsterdam is invited to Hack the Room. It's open to every coder--no matter your level of experience! Event cosponsors are Creative Coding Amsterdam and binaryfutures, a research group with a strong view on spatial design. Hacker participants will use the binaryfutures' prototyping kit for connecting objects and spaces to a local network via websockets. During the hackathon you'll be invited to create some awesome stuff in the space, using the binaryfutures HTML5-based platform

This year the program Bioinformatics is celebrating its 12 and a half years and Exon studies for 5 years. For this celebration, they are organizing a number of activities for you including a Hackathon. At the end of the day, Alumni will be asked to give a short presentation about what they are doing at the moment. There will also be a BBQ!

As a follow-up to the DataMission & UN World Food Programme Hackathon in May 14, all winners and participants are invited to the "What's next event". This is your chance to further develop the solutions of that day and assist the UN World Food Programme! You have four options to collaborate: - Work with the winners on their solutions - Work on creating open source visualizations on the WFP website (D3, Highcharts, Bootstrap, Python expertise desired) - Work on Improving the data quality.
