List of hackathons in Eindhoven, Netherlands in 2019

This course on Artificial Intelligence for Imaging is a unique opportunity to join a community of leading edge practitioners in the field of Quantitative Medical Imaging. During this 4-days immersive course, clinicians in medical imaging fields (radiologists, oncologists, neurologists, cardiologists), medical physicists with an interest in research, medical imaging researchers, computer scientists with an interest in medical imaging and academics researching quantitative imaging will be able to attend lectures and workshops from world-class experts in Radiomics, Deep Learning, Synthetic Data, and Distributed Learning.  You can also bring your own curated dataset with you for the hackathon (labelled, sorted by outcome, open source or fully anonymised, and cleared by ethics).  If requested ahead of time, we will perform “data matching” for attendees to facilitate external cross validation. There will be ample opportunity to network with faculty members, other participants and companies.

Together with KNIME we will be hosting a data science learnathon.

Together with our trusted partner, CGI, we will be in Düsseldorf on December 4 hosting a data science learnathon. What is a learnathon? It's between a hackathon and a workshop. It's like a workshop because we'll learn more about the data science cycle - data access, data blending, data preparation, model training, optimization, testing, and deployment. It's like a hackathon because we'll work in groups to hack a workflow-based solution to guided exercises. The tool of choice for this learnathon is KNIME Analytics Platform. KNIME Analytics Platform is an open, open-source, GUI driven, data analytics platform, that covers all your data needs from data import to final deployment. Being open, KNIME Analytics Platform offers a vast integration and IDE environment for R, Python, SQL, and Spark. After an initial introduction to the tool and to the data science cycle, we will split in groups. Each group will focus on one of three aspects of the data science cycle: Group 1. Working on the raw data. Data access and data preparation. Group 2. Machine Learning. Which model shall I use? Which parameters? Group 3. I have a great model. Now what? The model deployment phase. We will provide a few datasets, jump-start workflows and final solutions for the proposed tasks, and of course data science experts. Please bring your own laptop with KNIME Analytics Platform pre-installed. The logistics hackathon is a platform to collaborate and create innovative solutions for 6 challenging logistics issues. Each of these cases is brought to you by one of these leading shippers and service providers in Belgium. Challenges are distributed on a first come, first serve-basis at the check-in of the hackathon on Wednesday, November 27th. We reveal the challenges on 01/09/19. Create Special Games for Sint Oda Het dienstencentrum Sint Oda (vzw Stijn) en Hogeschool PXL bundelen de krachten en organiseren een hackathon, ten voordele van de bewoners, mensen met een ernstige meervoudige beperking. Heel wat bewoners kunnen  baat hebben bij leuke spelletjes, apps, tools, ... Helaas is de markt voor dit soort toepassingen erg beperkt en zijn heel wat bestaande spellen niet geschikt voor onze bewoners. Daar willen Sint Oda en Hogeschool PXL verandering in brengen! Op zaterdag 23/11/2019 wordt er daarom bij Sint Oda een hackathon georganiseerd, waarbij in multidisciplinaire teams enkele prototypes worden uitgewerkt en dit op maat van de bewoners, met aangepaste thema's, muziek, spelregels, ... De therapeuten en enkele sympathisanten hebben een aantal ideeën uitgewerkt, waarmee de deelnemers tijdens de hackathon aan de slag zullen gaan. Ben jij iemand die: code kan schrijven en toepassingen, websites of apps kan bouwen? handig is met hardware en elektronica? leuke muziek kan maken? grafisch aangelegd is? gewoon zin heeft om op een creatieve manier mee na te denken? graag de uitgewerkte prototypes mee beoordeelt? Schrijf je dan in voor onze hackathon! Let op: de inschrijvingen worden afgesloten op 06/11! Hackathon Kan jij programmeren en ben je goed in het prototypen van websites, apps of hardware? Of ben je grafisch aangelegd, kan je een mooi muziekje maken of heb je andere creatieve ideeën? Wil jij je engagement tonen voor de bewoners van Sint Oda? Dan zijn wij naar jou op zoek! Voor onze hackathon zoeken wij mensen die graag de koppen bij elkaar steken en met innovatieve ideeën of toepassingen op de proppen willen komen. We vertrekken daarbij van een duidelijke probleemstelling met voldoende mogelijkheden om jullie creativiteit de vrije loop te laten. Tijdens de hackathon zijn er bovendien continu mensen aanwezig die jullie kunnen informeren over wat wel en niet haalbaar is voor de bewoners. Bovendien kan je - als je dat wilt - op een leuke manier de bewoners beter leren kennen (bijvoorbeeld door met hen te gaan wandelen). Tijdens de middag staat er bovendien een frietkraam voor jullie klaar! Programma Het programma van deze mooie dag ziet er als volgt uit: 8.30 u - 9.00 u: ontvangst 9.00 u - 9.30 u: verwelkoming door Sint Oda en PXL, presenteren van de uitdaging aan de deelnemers 9.30 u - 12.30 u: werken per groepje aan een uitgekozen casus 12.30 u - 13.30 u: middagpauze met frietkraam 13.30 u - 18.00 u: werken per groepje aan een uitgekozen casus 18.00 u: voorstel prototype aan jury en beraadslaging 18.30 u: afsluitende receptie Praktisch Enkele dagen op voorhand krijg je nog een mailtje met alle praktische zaken. Breng wel zeker je eigen laptop mee.

Die Stadtwerke Krefeld AG und die Hochschule Niederrhein laden euch Computer-Freaks, Webdesigner, Programmierer & Co. wieder nach Krefeld ein. Zusammen mit dem diesjähirgen Kooperationspartner Canon haben wir 6 Challenges für euch gesammelt. Neben einem Preisgeld von insgesamt 6.000 Euro warten 24 Stunden Spaß, Teamwork und Kreativität auf euch. Außerdem dürft ihr euch wieder auf feinstes Catering und ein abwechslungsreiches Rahmenprogramm freuen. Unsere Challenge-Paten und Professoren der Hochschule stehen die gesamte Zeit mit Rat, Tat und Infos zur Seite. Übrigens besteht in unserem Maker-Space vor Ort die Möglichkeit Platinen herzustellen, zu bestücken, zu verdrahten und zu löten. Zur Verfügung stehen die Mini-Computer Arduino und Raspberry Pi mit passendem Sensorik-Auswahlkoffer. Auch 3D-Drucker sind benutzbar (Format *.stl). Die Teilnahme ist für jeden möglich, egal ob Schülerinnen und Schüler, Studentinnen und Studenten, Mitarbeitende von Unternehmen und auch Privatpersonen und Interessierte jeden Alters, die Ihre Kreativität einbringen wollen.
