This event is a collaboration between Lava Lab, Submarine Channel & Creative Coding Amsterdam and is open to everyone, regardless of experience. During this event, there will be a virtual reality hackathon based on the project 'De Pont'. You'll be making movies, games or interactive storytelling experiences. The theme is Amsterdam Noord and the ferry that crosses the IJ.

After the tragic attacks of 22 March 2016, MolenGeek decided to host a hackathon for creating applications which will optimize the emergency services in Molenbeek in case of rescue operations. The focus will lie on protection, alerting and rescuing. Join this event to to help improve the care of victims, communication, ease of logistical support, information management and optimization of the rescue organizations.

The Intel® IoT Roadshow is coming to Amsterdam and wants to make sure each of you are set-up with the resources you need.This meetup will teach you all about the Intel® IoT Developer Kit at A Lab Amsterdam. For this edition of Apps For Ghent you will focus on geodata and maps. There are two types of participants. One to be taking part in the "from scratch hackaton", where you will have to start with nothing and produce a tangible, working (web)application or visualisation by noon, and the other one to be taking part in the "showcase" where you will prepare ahead, continue to work during the hackathon and pitch your concept, prototype, idea to the jury. You may also attend the afternoon program as a visitor and see what the contestants have come up with.
