Hacking Health Valley in Nijmegen, is een #patientsincluded event waar technologie, ontwerp, ondernemerschap, gezondheidszorg en patiënten tijdens één weekend samenkomen. Het wordt gehouden in het weekend van vrijdag 20 tot zondag 22 april 2018. Hacking Health streeft naar de omzetting van de gezondheidszorg door teams te verbinden, die meestal nauwelijks samenwerken, die op zoek zijn naar human-centric oplossingen voor frontlinie gezondheidszorg problemen. Gedurende het weekend krijgen de deelnemers de gelegenheid om hun ideeën en problemen op het podium te plaatsen.Daarna vormen zij teams bestaande uit gezondheidswerkers, patiënten, programmeurs, ontwerpers en ondernemers om een ​​oplossing te vinden in twee en een halve dag. Aan het einde van het weekend geven de teams een presentatie van de resultaten en worden de winnaars geselecteerd door een multidisciplinair expert panel. Hacking Health Valley is onderdeel van Dutch Hacking Health, in het zelfde weekend worden meerdere hackathons georganiseerd in Nederland.  Tijdens de Meetup in het Radboudumc vertellen we je meer over wat je kunt verwachten tijdens het weekend in NIjmegen en hoe je je kunt voorbereiden, ook ontmoet je alvast mogelijke mede-deelnemers en gaan we aan de slag met een van de innovatie methodieken.

VPRO Medialab Hackathon: Are you talking tome?In the future we will all have a ‘smart device’ in our homes: a digital home assistant, like Amazon Echo or Google Home. Such a device is voice-controlled and it can do all kinds of handy things: order pizza, keep track of shopping or tell you how many inhabitants Ivory Coast has (over 24 million). In return it takes a big bite out of your privacy. VPRO Medialab is curious about the narrative power of such a home assistant. Could it be used to tell fictional or documentary stories? Or to enrich existing stories (such as films, TV programmes, podcasts)? This is the topic covered in the 7th VPRO Medialab hackathon, on 2 and 3 February 2018 in Eindhoven.  Open Demo'sThe teams formed on site will face the challenge of presenting a working prototype or an elaborated concept in two days. At the end of the second day, the teams will present their prototypes to each other and the jury.
