Mobile developers of all levels in and around Amsterdam! XABLU invites you to sign up to participate in an event where you'll learn to build Azure-connected Xamarin mobile apps using MvvmCross 5.0. You'll first get to attend a workshop where you'll be introduced to Xamarin and MvvmCross, then you'll be challenged in a “Hack your first app” mini-hackathon with Xamarin and MvvmCross.

Es ist wieder soweit: Der thyssenkrupp Hackathon #hack4tk geht in die nächste Runde.  Vom Montag, 26. bis zum Dienstag, 27. Juni 2017 entdecken hier Developer, Designer & Konzepter die Geheimnisse eines ganz besonderen Ortes. Ihr könnt als Team mit drei Agenten antreten. Oder ihr kommt alleine und wir suchen passende Mitstreiter für euch. Der Hackathon ist für die Jungen und Wissensdurstigen, für alle, die gern komplexen Aufgaben auf den Grund gehen und deren Entdeckerlust nicht beim ersten "Betreten verboten"-Schild endet. Er ist für alle, die mit Leidenschaft und Neugier neue digitale Lösungen für zukünftige Business Challenges entwickeln und das gerne gemeinsam im Team tun. Wenn ihr ein Händchen für Technologie und Programmierung habt, spitze in Design oder digitaler Konzeption seid oder ihr einfach vor guten Ideen sprüht, seid ihr im #hack4tk genau richtig. Gemeinsam entwickeln wir beim Hackathon spannende Dinge, an die so vorher noch keiner gedacht hat. Der Ablauf in Kürze: Die AREA 51 startet mit allen registrierten Teilnehmern am Montag, den 26. Juni 2017 um 12 Uhr. Im Team arbeitest Du 24 Stunden an der Realisierung innovativer Ideen, die wir am Ende gemeinsam umsetzen wollen. Am Morgen des 27. Juni 2017 stellen alle Teams ihre Ideen vor. Im Anschluss werden die Besten von einer Fachjury ausgezeichnet. Die AREA 51 des thyssenkrupp Hackathon erweitert auch Euren Horizont: Unsere Experten stehen Euch permanent als Mentoren zur Seite, geben Impulse und teilen Ihr Wissen.   Warum mitmachen? Die Frage beantwortet sich eigentlich von selbst. Der Hackathon kann ein Sprungbrett für Deine Karriere sein. Du lernst Gleichgesinnte im geheimnisvollsten Sperrgebiet der Welt kennen. Du arbeitest an echten Aufgabenstellungen von thyssenkrupp. Du erweiterst Dein Netzwerk mit Profis und solchen, die es bald sein werden. Du zahlst nicht einen Cent für das Ganze. Und: Du kannst nur gewinnen! Außer Spaß und garantierten Erfahrungen zum Beispiel die Mitarbeit an der konkreten Umsetzung Deiner Idee. Oder ein iPad. Oder Beats by Dre Kopfhörer. Und natürlich: Den ewigen Respekt Deiner Kollegen.

Was stellt ihr euch unter einem Game Development Hackathon vor? Dass man ziemlich viele Stunden sich mit Grafiken und Animationen beschäftigt, stimmt‘s? Ganz falsch ist das ja auch nicht, allerdings gehört zu der Entwicklung wesentlich mehr, als das Verbinden von Bildern. Wie schnell soll der Character gehen? Wie hoch soll er springen? Welche Hindernisse solle es geben, in welcher Frequenz sollen sie auftauchen? Diese und noch viel mehr Fragen müssen bei der Entwicklung eines Spiels beantwortet werden. Gefordert sind Fähigkeiten wie logisches und mathematisches Denken, räumliches Denkvermögen, Teamfähigkeit, Problemlösungskompetenz, Kreativität.  Unter Anleitung von unserem Experten Matthias Seyfferth arbeiten die Teilnehmer weitestgehend selbständig und lösen Probleme. In kleinen Teams entwickeln sie ihr eigenes Projekt und präsentieren am Ende des Hackathons ihr Ergebnis.  Kleine Snacks und Getränke sind in dem Preis enthalten *Frühbucher bis 31. Mai 2017

At the end of the second day, the teams will present their prototypes to each other and the jury. Like the previous Hackathon, the presentations for the coming edition will be open to the public.
