The Schiphol Group in partnership with GoDataDriven and Microsoft is inviting you to get involved in rich airport data, unique data sets and state-of-the art technology in order to work with data scientists on data sets unique to Schiphol Airport, including bird radar; flight and luggage data; and micro weather data per landing strip from the air traffic control tower. This is a data science hackathon where you'll have the opportunity to work with the Azure Cloud platform with the Cloudera stack and a wide array of DS tooling. Anyone with an interest in data science, machine learning, visualization, data-intensive programming, or general hacking is welcome to join!

Developers, hackers, artists, designers, psychologists, and marketers! Consider a new Netherlands, where from 2019, the management of the whole physical environment has been merged and simplified into one Environmental Planning Act. But now technology is needed to help realize the goals of this new law. Come participate in the ‘Redesign the Netherlands in 48 hours’ hackathon and create ideas to make the Netherlands more pleasant and livable! You will work with data from the province of North Brabant, Municipality of Eindhoven and DataLand to solve one of four specific challenges.

University students! Interested in banking and finance? Come and participate in the Reply Risk & Regulatory Hackathon and collaborate on a business case which addresses the simulation of a bank. The business case will simulate the evolution of a troubled European Bank entering resolution. You'll be asked to analyse data, work with the resolution organisations and make decisions in real time.

This hackathon is about building a Citizen Web that would collect data in a crowd-sourced way for everyone’s benefit. The open source Nervousnet platform is trying to offer a participatory platform allowing everyone to collect data, mine data, and create their own Internet of Things app. The Hackathon is trying to connect Nervousnet with LoraWAN and The Things Network with a comfortable software platform and Blockchain technology (for security, privacy, and decentralized control, pluralistic payment and incentive systems, smart service contracts, ...).

Op de dag van De Duurzaamheid sluit de Duurzame Week Utrecht spetterend af. Trek je mooiste avondkleed aan en stap in je electrische limo. De groene loper ligt uit voor de Duurzame Week Award Night!Een avond voor iedereen die duurzaamheid in Utrecht een feestje vindt. In de spotlight staan de genomineerde voor de Duurzame Week Awards. Dé prijs voor Utrechtse initatieven die duurzaamheid zichtbaar maken, verbinden en inspireren in de categorieën; Retail, Horeca en Service. Twee weken lang kan er online gestemd worden door de inwoners van de stad. Tijdens deze avond krijgen de genomineerden nog één kans om de kiezers voor hen te winnen. Een avond vol inspiratie, want naast de initiatieven pakken ook de drie beste teams van de Duurzame Week Hackathon podium. Zestien uur lang broedden zij op eco-vraagstukken van de stad, om deze avond te strijden voor het slimste idee. Om 21:00 uur spreekt de jury het verlossende woord en presenteert de winnaars van de DWAwards 2016. Begeleid door Nederlands groenste singer-songwrither Florian Wolff en - jawel- vegan DJ Wesdex sluiten we de Duurzame Week dansend af. Developers, designers, students, professionals, hackers and city dwellers of Utrecht are all invited by the city of Utrecht and Sustainable Week to come and participate in their 2 day Hackathon! The event will be focused on sustainability in the new city of Utrecht, and you may participate with a team of your choosing or join a team the day of the event. Once projects have been completed and presented, prizes will be awarded to the winning team by a professional jury.
