The QST team is calling for Doha’s best and brightest in our second Hackathon in Doha. Join us on the 26th of September when we bunker down for 48 hours to solve some of the Sports industry’s most pressing challenges. Where is it happening? Workinton - Alfardan Center What will you be hacking? You will be hacking away at one of the most challenging and interesting industries in Doha: the Sports industry.  We are looking for solutions which will make the World Cup 2022 the most technologically advanced sporting event in history. These are the categories for your inspiration: The Team & Athlete - Includes all initiative that will improve the core product: the sports itself. Team Performance & Analytics Sports Medical Wearables & Equipment The Fan - Includes all initiatives that will improve participation in sports, the experience and engagement of fans both in-stadium and through (digital) media as well as the overall management of clubs and federations. Fan Experience Fan Engagement Active Nation Transformed Media The World Cup - Includes all initiatives that will create a personalized and memorable experience of the 2022 World Cup. Sustainability Fan Zones Travel Cashless World Cup Venue Management & Optimization   Should you apply? We are looking for thinkers, hackers, marketeers, creatives, visionaries with an entrepreneurial spark... if you can relate, then you're it! Whether you are a student or working a full-time job doesn’t matter. We like you for your brain, passion, and skills, not your title. So, are you a Hacker (Developer) Hipster (Designer) Hustler (Marketing/Sales) Though it is an advantage, you don't need to have a confirmed idea prior to the event. The hackathon will start with an ideation phase where you will be able to form your ideas in collaboration with the other hackers. You will be grouped in a team on the first day of the Hackathon event. This would be done post-ideation phase, where you would join members who share the same vision and passion. What's in it for you? Hands-on startup experience The QST hackathon is a unique chance to test your skills and get hands-on experience with some of the most pressing challenges in the world of Sports. The event will provide you with the perfect setting to match with like-minded individuals and form a team for your startup. During the 48 hours of the event, you will receive feedback and mentoring from top-tier industry experts and entrepreneurs. Prizes to be disclosed at a later stage. The final winners of the Hackathon will be presented with exposure and prizes that will help them develop their businesses further towards commercial success. The companies built during the Hackathon will benefit from the added exposure and network which will help them grow long after the event has ended.Through QSTs lucrative partnerships, the winning teams will be ensured broad exposure and get to enjoy many prizes.
