Talking computers, once a concept limited to our imaginations and to science fiction movies, are now becoming an everyday reality. We are now seeing rapid proliferation of AI- and Voice-powered assistants like Google Home. Developments in AI, speech recognition, and natural language processing have made it possible for us to use our voice to interact with sophisticated machines. Voice Tech has the potential to redefine the way we live, as a wealth of information and a wide range of functionalities is just one “Okay, Google!” away. The Smart Living Hackathon (23-24 June) invites tech enthusiasts looking to invent the future, to come hack with StarHub and OCBC, in collaboration with SPH, and assisted by Google Assistant!  Challenges 1. Smart Home: Integration of Voice Tech into our homes to enhance the way we live and play.  2. Personal Assistant: Voice Tech to help us get things done faster, easier, and more efficiently.  Learn more about the challenges here. Why You Should Join  The Club: This is more than just a hackathon. You will be a pioneer - part of the first community of developers and designers innovating using Voice Tech. It’s a special club! The Tech: You’ll get to build your solutions using Google Assistant - the revolutionary new technology that everyone wants to get their hands on! Additionally, each team to present at the end of the Hackathon will take home their very own Google Home Mini!  The Rewards: This is one of Singapore’s coolest hackathons, with a mega prize to match. The winning team will bag the top prize of S$10,000! The Muscle: More opportunities could await after the end of the Hackathon. StarHub and OCBC could help support the development of your idea into a commercial pilot! Important Note: You must register in a team of 3-4 members. Single registrations will not be accepted.
