List of hackathons in Vigo, Spain in 2018

CESGAHACK 3 will once again bring together 6 teams from around the world to meet for 5 days, aiming to accelerate their applications. The goal of this hackathon is to accelerate the execution of applications. If your development team has little or no experience of parallel programming, then CESGAHACK3 is for you. During the week the event is structured to ensure that the majority of the time is spent working on your own code, with the assistance of expert mentors.

The goal of this hackathon is to accelerate the execution of simulation applications coded by developers with no experience in parallel programming. Our goal is to help you in doing more science and less coding using OpenMP and OpenACC technologies. Your outcome of the hackathon will be either an OpenMP/OpenACC-enabled application or a clear roadmap of how to get there. Participation in the training event is free of charge.

Na semana de 3 a 11 de fevereiro, realizar-se-á mais uma edição da SEI - Semana da Engenharia Informática, gratuita e totalmente dedicada a apresentar e aprofundar temas de destaque no panorama atual da informática. A SEI, anteriormente designada por Semana da LEI, apresenta um programa intensivo, oradores de relevo, nacionais e internacionais, uma variedade de momentos de discussão e pró-atividade, uma abordagem social e momentos de lazer, do quais destacamos: Coderdojo Braga: movimento sem fins lucrativos, cujo objetivo é ensinar jovens dos 7 aos 17 anos a programar. Workshops sobre as tecnologias mais atuais. Talks com oradores experientes e inspiradores. Concursos de programação, desafios de segurança e imensas oportunidades de ganhar prémios.
