Volvo Construction Equipment & Volvo Group Connected Solutions presents: On 23-26 Nov we're bringing together multidisciplinary teams of three-to-five members in Gothenburg, Sweden to hunt for the next big innovation in image intelligence. Build and demo your innovative solutions that help customers inspect machines using nothing more than their smartphones! PLEASE NOTE: there will be an opportunity on the first day to form teams if you are selected to participate but were unable to put together a team in advance of the event. Participation is free and we’re looking for engineers, developers, and designers with a passion for mobile apps, computer vision, and data science. To increase your chances of being accepted apply with a well-rounded team with complementary competencies, lots of diversity, and show off on your eventbrite team page. IF YOU HAVEN’T BEEN CONTACTED, YOU HAVEN’T BEEN SELECTED FOR THIS HACKATHON UNFORTUNATELY.   Can I apply without a team? Yes! You can either join an existing team or create a new team and ask people to join your team. also, if you are selected we will help you to form a team during the first day of the hackathon. Can I apply if I'm not in Sweden? You could but we’d recommend joining another VOLVO x HACK SPRINT in the future that is hosted closer to home.   I’m not a technical person, can I apply anyway? Of course! We believe in diverse and multidisciplinary teams. Put together your dream team and apply!   Will I be reimbursed for travel and lodging? Unfortunately we won’t be able to reimburse you for travel and lodging but we will make sure that you get all the sustenance you need throughout the whole hackathon completely free of charge! Participating teams will be notified of our recommended hotels and hostels with special rates nearby.   Are there any technical requirements? This is a "technology agnostic" hackathon and no SDKs, APIs, or data sources will be provided. The only requirement is the ability to inspect machines using nothing more than a smartphone.
