Are you in P7 or S1-S4? Looking for something to do during the October holidays? Interested in having a go at hands on electronics and creating cool gadgets? Maker Jamboree is coming to Aberdeen!! Maker Jamboree is split into two parts: Part 1) The first two days (from 10am to 4pm) are filled with a series of practical workshops about all the “Internet of Things”. These include: Soldering, Lazer Cutting, 3D Printing, Interfacing an Arduino to Electronics and Using a Raspberry Pi and Node-RED. (Don’t know what these things are? Come along to find out and have a go!) and Part 2) On the last day (from 10am to 4pm) you get to put all these new found skills into practice by taking part in a Hackathon. This means working in teams to solve an electronics challenge based on what you have learnt in Part 1. This exciting and fun packed event runs from 15th to 17th October and only costs £10.00 for ALL THREE days (plus £1.25 booking fee). Tickets are limited so sign up now! Sign up now to secure your place. On 17th October there will also be a Raspberry Pi Jam taking place for all the family. Tickets are available here separately so everyone is welcome to come along and check it out.
