      London Fintech Week Hackathon Weekend

      Build the future, over the weekend.  For the 4th Annual Fintech Week we're preparing our largest hackathon to date. The challenges will be live shortly. It could be anything from "creating a better mortage experience" to "apps for a cashless society".  Teams will form at the kick off event on Friday, July 7th. At Cocoon Networks in Moorgate. Each teams needs at least one developer. Coding isn't the only skill you need to win. On Saturday morning, teams will regroup and begin working on thier project. You have until 11pm at the venue (This is not an overnight event). On Sunday morning we regroup again at Cocoon and polish up the concepts, prototypes and begin preparing presentations. At 3pm, teams present to judges and winners are announced shortly after all teams have presented.  Winners will be given the official scorecard in advance to ensure that everyone is on the same page. The winning teams will recieve a small cash prize (£2000) and present their concept to the full audience at London Fintech Week. Get Involved: Winning teams will be judged on concept originality, feasibility, level of development and appropriate use of required API or technology.           A follow-on event from the Start-Scale-Grow workshops. We are changing our event next week (Thursday 6th July) to a more personalised drop-in session, with a chance to meet with us on a one-to-one basis for advice on how we can build a mutually benefitial relationship with guest lecturing opportunities, hackathons, courseworks and interns. There will still be refreshments, so pop in between 5pm and 8pm for a chat and a snack. After the Start-Scale-Grow wrap-up sessions in July, we will run an all-bells-and-whistles networking session in late August. Hope that suits everyone, and maximises our combined potential!
