Christmas littleBits Hack Day   We are pleased to announce that we'll be running a hack afternoon for anyone aged 11+ on the 19th December at the Coworking Bath space (inside the Guildhall) Bath! We'll start by working on making an electronic christmas card before moving into small groups to build your own something (can be anything!) out of littlebits! The event will finish with a short demonstration of what everyone has built over the afternoon over pizza that we'll be supplying! Don't forget to bring a laptop so you can program your own things! Who is this event for? Anyone aged over 11 who has programmed already a bit! We're going to be uisng JavaScript so a bit of previous experience in that would be awesome (made your own interactive emoji or animated solar system). What is a hack day? A hack day is a day where people who enjoy playing with tech get together to build awesome things. We have a bunch of these things called littleBits which are essentially lego for programming, close to a raspberry pi but way way better. The Ears Challenge hackathon will propose you a lots of challenges all along the weekend. Everything will be provided by the organizers: Hardware, support, Food....

ESA Business Incubation Centre, Harwell will host a Hackathon on the Harwell Campus from 17th - 18th October 2015. The theme for this event is ' Well Being'. We are looking for innovative ideas using space technology in a non-space application. This can include a variety of sectors such as: healthcare sport energy  security If you are an entrepreneur, innovator or problem solver, this is the event for you! You will meet like minded people, coming together to share ideas with a focus on creating the next big thing that could make a differnce in society. Registration is required for each individual and teams will be confirmed on the day.   This event is free to attend and will include: Welcome package Food and drink throughout the event Wifi Coaching Showers available if required Resting space  All you will  need to bring is your laptop, sleeping bag/floor mat and your next big idea! You will spend two days developing your concept before pitching your idea to a panel of experts.  The winning team will receive a six month business support package to help accelerate the growth of their idea.
