Join Umbraco for the Umbraco UK Festival’s famous Hackathon, and help bash some Umbraco bugs. The Hackathon and Bug Fixathon is dedicated to eliminating all of those pesky glitches that you come across on a daily basis but never have the time to do combat with. Fear not, some of the Umbraco HQ crew will be on hand to help out. But, be warned, there are only 75 spaces, so make sure you let us know before it’s too late.

The mobility service we’re aiming to build requires you to look at it from 3 different perspectives - technical, commercial, behavioural. All we’ll provide you with is a customer problem and the data to solve this accordingly. The challenge will involve building an app focusing on a mobility service in London, making it user-friendly and understanding how the money comes in. It’s about you shaping the proposition, rather than us telling you what to do! You'll get the opportunity to help solve real customer mobility problems, with an awesome app that is innovative, practical and commercially viable.

Come take part in BT Security’s hacking competition hosted at Surrey University. Try and hack websites, crack passwords, decode messages and break encryption. You will form into teams of between three and five people, and have three hours to try and complete as many hacking challenges as possible. Completing challenges earns you points and there will be prizes for the team with the most points at the end of the night! No prior hacking experience is required, you just need to be passionate about technology and up to the challenge. You are encouraged to use the internet during the event to help research solutions to the challenges.  No experience required.   Just bring your laptop. Ideas include sharing a dataset, setting up a research blog or project website, planning an engagement project, pitching a news article, or creating a video biography or a podcast.
