Christmas littleBits Hack Day
We are pleased to announce that we'll be running a hack afternoon for anyone aged 11+ on the 19th December at the Coworking Bath space (inside the Guildhall) Bath! We'll start by working on making an electronic christmas card before moving into small groups to build your own something (can be anything!) out of littlebits!
The event will finish with a short demonstration of what everyone has built over the afternoon over pizza that we'll be supplying!
Don't forget to bring a laptop so you can program your own things!
Who is this event for?
Anyone aged over 11 who has programmed already a bit! We're going to be uisng JavaScript so a bit of previous experience in that would be awesome (made your own interactive emoji or animated solar system).
What is a hack day?
A hack day is a day where people who enjoy playing with tech get together to build awesome things. The nice people at the Major League Hacking organisation have a great article on what a hackathon means - http://news.mlh.io/hackathon-guides-for-parents-and-administrators-09-10-2015
What are littleBits?
We have a bunch of these things called littleBits which are essentially lego for programming, close to a raspberry pi but way way better. We have a bunch of cloudbits which we can program over the internet! littleBits have a page of cloudBit projects for inspiration - http://littlebits.cc/cloud
Tickets are limited due to us having only a set number of cloudBits, don't miss out on getting your ticket above!!
But wait... there's more!
