Christmas littleBits Hack Day   We are pleased to announce that we'll be running a hack afternoon for anyone aged 11+ on the 19th December at the Coworking Bath space (inside the Guildhall) Bath! We'll start by working on making an electronic christmas card before moving into small groups to build your own something (can be anything!) out of littlebits! The event will finish with a short demonstration of what everyone has built over the afternoon over pizza that we'll be supplying! Don't forget to bring a laptop so you can program your own things! Who is this event for? Anyone aged over 11 who has programmed already a bit! We're going to be uisng JavaScript so a bit of previous experience in that would be awesome (made your own interactive emoji or animated solar system). What is a hack day? A hack day is a day where people who enjoy playing with tech get together to build awesome things. We have a bunch of these things called littleBits which are essentially lego for programming, close to a raspberry pi but way way better. The Ears Challenge hackathon will propose you a lots of challenges all along the weekend. Everything will be provided by the organizers: Hardware, support, Food....

OWASP (The Open Web Application Security Project organisation) together with Pen Test Partners are hosting an IoT hackathon at the Birmingham Science Park, to investigate the security of several IoT devices including iKettle, iCoffee and My Friend Kayla. Bring along your laptop, and in case you have one, an IoT device you'd like to take a look at too.

The Well-being App Design Hackathon is organised together with the Schools of Engineering and Health & Social Care to give you the opportunity for multi-disciplinary student, Computing/Informatics and Health and Social Care courses, to work collaboratively together as a team to design an app that will have real world impact in terms of the health and wellbeing of future LSBU students. Cash prizes will be given to each member of the winning team!

The InterTech Diversity Forum is a network which encourages LGBT + diversity in the UK technology world. #MakeStuffBetter will take place at Facebook's amazing offices where Facebook and Intertech are once again teaming up for a hackathon that will spread tolerance, promote health, and create awareness to make a change in the world! So bring your best skills, your laptop and good energy, your ideas matter! There are also supporter tickets available for those who just wish to cheer on the good efforts and see the eventual products and prizes at the end of the hack.

Imperial College Women in Physics and Stemettes invite you to a celebration of women in STEM. The event will be hosted by Head Stemette, Anne-Marie Imafidon.  Routes to STEM is a panel discussion with a difference! It’s exclusively for 14-18 year old young women, where we’ll discuss all the different ways people begin their scientific careers. We’re hoping to explore apprenticeships, A-level choices, university degrees, work experience. The Birmingham Picademy@Google team is hosting a Raspberry Jam event at Google Digital Garage in the Library of Birmingham to share knowledge, learn new things, and meet other Pi enthusiasts. Attend this event to learn more about the Raspberry Pi computer and make some great connections. The event is open for anyone, you do not necessarily need to know how to code or have a Raspberry Pi, you will be taught everything there is to know.

On this evening, IMCreate will showcase the top three solutions developed through the IMCreate 2015 hackathon weekend of 14 and 15 November 2015 and announce the final winner! The teams will pitch their prototype Intelligent Mobility solutions in front of the judges, and an audience of transport and technology leaders!
