LGIM Engineering Hackathon

Agile enthusiasts from large companies, SMEs or startups! If you have the passion to drive change and are interested in scaling agile from a single department to an entire company, then you're invited to participate in the Innovation Hubs Hackathon. You'll be part of a team of 4-6 like-minded professionals and be challenged to come up with ways in which organisations, large and small, can establish, collaborate in, and take advantage of innovation and digital hubs.

Data enthusiasts -- story-tellers, graphic designers and influencers -- in the London area! You're invited to participate in the Viz for Social Good Hackathon to help the Guy's and St Thomas' Charity. Beginners and experts alike -- come create innovative ways to use Tableau data visualisation to investigate the factors that contribute to childhood obesity.

Blockchain and Android enthusiasts in and around London! You're invited to be part of the Mobilising Blockchain hackathon. Come participate in a team and use the Babble Android Library to produce a mobile blockchain-based app. Compete to have your team's peer-to-peer app selected as a winner based on your idea and execution.

Lab automation enthusiasts in the Greater London Area and beyond! You're invited to participate in a hackathon-style workshop to learn to apply digital microfluidics to automate biological experimentation and laboratory workflows. You'll get to learn to use the latest digital microfluidics automation tools developed by Digi.Bio and work in a small team to brainstorm potential applications for laboratory workflow automation.

Workshop on Google Cloud. We will have an introductory lecture on Google cloud, followed by a workshop in Qwiklabs. Please remember to bring your laptop, charger, and snacks. The event will take place in the Portland Building P1.04. You will not have to stay for the full duration, but I have the room booked until 5pm, so you are free to continue to work on the self-directed labs or any other work you may have. Developer Student Clubs (DSC) are university-based community groups run by Google Developers for students with an interest in growing as developers. By joining a DSC, students grow their knowledge in a peer-to-peer learning environment and build solutions for local businesses and their community.
