    London, United Kingdom
Want to master your hackathon skills but don't have a weekend to give up? Not sure what a hackathon is? Curious about how fun they are? The best kept secret is that you don't need to be a developer or "techie" to win a hackathon. A winning team contains a mix of people with different skills and ideas, all coming together to create a solution to a problem and explain what they've done to others. So, if you're a designer, a marketeer or even a footballer, come and join us for what must be the shortest hackathon ever. Practice your skills and learn what it takes to win. If you're a ready made team or you're an individual just looking to build something fun. Come along and get involved. There'll be time to meet people and form teams and discuss ideas before the build time begins. Once the build has ended, teams will get a few short minutes to present their ideas before a winner is chosen. NOTE: This is a free event, but you need to be registered in-advance to attend. Thanks go to PA Consulting for providing the venue. Agenda  6:30pm Arrival, chat and drinks  7:00pm Build time!  8:00pm Team presentations  8:30pm Winner announced and wrap-up

What is a Hackathon? A hackathon is an event where people with ideas come together for the purpose of solving a problem that exists, or creating a product that is needed in the real world. Why should I go? Some of the benefits delegates have experienced at our previous event are: Creating solutions to your educational challenges Networking with other staff and students in different universities Developing and learning new professional skills Having free food served to them all day (breakfast, pizza, sandwiches and snacks) Chance to win prizes worth over £1,000 Getting some great hackathon swag Having fun and be part of the hackathon community What are others saying about UnituHack? "Thank you to you and the team for hosting such a brilliant event. I am particularly interested in student-staff partnerships, and it was a fantastic way to see some front-line work. It is interesting to see the areas that are consistently identified by students as being ‘problematic’- from staying abreast of information to peer support and communication with lecturers (not to mention food!). The atmosphere was incredibly positive and I can only imagine how much work went on to pull together this event."
