This is a Hackathon with main aim to provide a tangible solution to assist the challenge of patient flow. Patient flow is a complex and difficult challenge for all organisations. Colleagues from different departments from across Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust will explore together the patient journeys. Real data and patient journeys will be used to develop a shared understanding of patient flow throughout the Hospital, in order to collaboratively identify where the focus should be put on to make improvements. The ART//GAMES//HACKATHON is an intensive workshop welcoming all artists, coders and technologists to team up, collaborate and develop prototypes for game art projects. This hackathon is part of Europeana Space, a large EU-funded project, which examines the creative reuse of online content across a range of media and art forms. The three winning projects will receive further mentoring from Simon Cronshaw from Remix and the chance to participate in a Business Modelling Workshop to further shape their projects and develop business plans. These three finalists will then compete for three months of tailored business incubation from world-class industry leaders.

Join us for the IP Magnet Challenge.
You're invited to the Google Digital Garage in Manchester Central Library for an ideas development and IP data hackathon day. You'll be creating a prototype idea for a contract to develop your concept into a working application!
Come and share your ideas or maybe start a new collaboration. Work as individuals or form a team.
Bring a laptop; beginners are always welcome.
Plus, you'll be competing for a contract to develop your concept into a working prototype!
On the day you’ll be able to analyse newly released IP data, including trademark and patent data. If you are a developer, a designer, an ideas generator, a startup, an IP expert, an individual, complete beginner or simply have an interest patents and trademarks, you are welcome to join us at the IP Magnet Challenge.
Why are we doing this? It’s part of an effort to make intellectual property data more useful and accessible for small businesses, entrepreneurs and interested individuals.
The library will provide data sets, including newly released trademark and patent data from the UK Intellectual Property Office. Participants can choose the data they are most interested in to create their project. For more information on the data go to the IP Magnet Challenge page

At the end of the day, each team will give a three-minute presentation on their project and the winner will be chosen by the judging panel during the next week. The Best Idea Winner, will win a contract to develop their ideas further. Join the challenge now as places are limited!
BCUHack at Birmingham City University

BCUHack is a 24 hour Hackathon, which is free for students at Birmingham City University. A Hackathon is an event in which a large number of people meet to engage in collaborative computer programming. Programmers and web developers of all experience levels are welcome to participate and you do not need to be an expert.
This is a brilliant opportunity for you to develop new software, learn about new technologies, acquire new skills and meet new people. The Hackathon will involve you working in a team to develop software within the time frame. There will be challanges set by the event sponsors and you can create software on any platform, using the tools provided by our sponsors.
After the 24 hour programming period, the teams get together to present their new software to the sponsors and judging panel and prizes are awarded.
