Mobile UX London - Lean Experience Mapping and UX Team Building
27 Jul - 06:30 PM
London, United Kingdom
The July meet-up will feature talks about lean experience mapping and how to build successful teams in UX. MUXL holds an annual programme of events in London, join our meet-up group and keep updated with our events Here. Our website https://mobileuxlondon.com Speakers Jiri Jerabek, Intuit – Lean Experience Mapping Jiri is the Principal Interaction Designer at Intuit where he leads product design for the UK market. Jiri’s goal at Intuit is to create delightful products that allow small businesses and entrepreneurs to overcome the burdens of accountancy. Jiri’s design philosophy lies at the intersection of two cornerstones: the first is Lean Startup-inspired hypothesis-driven design and the second is application of cognitive science to technology. Experience Maps provide zoomed out view of user journeys, service touchpoints and contextual factors that influence user experience on holistic level. These maps are frequently based on good quality data, user research and business knowledge. In his talk, Jiri will show how he turned experience map from polished deliverable into a living tool that grew with the project, communicated challenges upon a glance, helped the team to share the knowledge and provokes discussions outside of the team. Spencer Turner, Cultivate – UX Team Building Spencer is a consultant, coach and mentor in lean UX and agile UX, speaker, ex-designer, sometimes Ruby programmer and ardent proponent of visual communication. At Cultivate, he operates at the intersection of product management, design and development to help teams make great digital products. The Bones Brigade movie is about the 1980s Skateboard team formed of unknown amateur skaters, from radically different backgrounds, each specialists in a their own discipline, led and mentored by an expert not much older than them. It transfixed me and got me thinking about teams in the software world. Spencer will share what he thinks we can learn about cross functional teams, mentoring, healthy competition in teams and who really “runs” a team. #MUXL Check out our MUXL Conference 2017 here Check out our VR Hackathon here
