Arts Partnership Lab
13 Feb - 10:00 AM
Nottingham, United Kingdom
Rebalancing the Outer Estates Foundation has a flagship creative project called 'Creative Nottingham North'; which aims to widen participation in arts and cultural activities within the constituency of Nottingham North in the city. Funded by the Arts Council, we want to share with you some of the successes and challenges we’ve experienced over the last 3 years; while taking the opportunity to bring together community leaders and arts organisations to learn more about each other’s offers, needs and ways of working.
With a range of short presentations from community groups, arts partners and local residents in the morning, lunch will be followed by an afternoon Hackathon in which we explore community arts engagement in relation to:
Youth opportunities
Health and Wellbeing
Neighbourhoods & Environment
Citizen Science.
"How do we harness the wealth of experience, energy and enthusiasm that community leaders bring to their areas, and the drive and ambition of arts organisations to engage with more people across the city?"
What you’ll get from attending:
Hear about inspiring projects and partnerships where arts organisations and communities are working together to engage more people in arts and culture.
A greater understanding of shared and specific community needs; particularly in the outer estates of Nottingham, with representatives from Aspley, Basford, Bestwood, Bilborough, Bulwell and Bulwell Forest sharing their needs and requests!
An opportunity to connect with arts organisations and community leaders to share your ‘offers’.
Practical workshop activities with potential new partners – creating shared visions as well as 'quick wins!'
An action plan that is useful and relevant to your setting – that incorporates ways in which the arts can have a positive impact across a range of sectors and target groups.
A shared delegate list for future networking!
