The theme for EXIMPACT is creating a startup to tackle sustainable development with a focus around circular economy, although we will accept ideas in other areas of social enterprise. We strongly recommend you to think of ideas that are feasible and that a prototype can be built during the event. We are super excited to be partnering with TEVI Enactus and the United Nations to bring their huge support and knowledge of creating social change and their tech skills to assist you in developing your business proposition! Furthermore, we will be running workshops throughout the weekend to hone you with the right skills needed to tackle these problems and turn your idea into a reality! GUEST ORGANISATION: Our guest organisation this month is Jay Tompt talking about 'The Local Spark' a Torbay Community Supported Enterprise Project  The Local Spark - Torbay Community Supported Enterprise is a new initiative in its earliest stages of formation. It seeks be a catalyst for rallying community support for new and existing local enteprises that benefit the community in some way - think green, ethical, social, resilience-building. It draws its inspiration from citizen-led models underway in other places, such as the experience in Totnes. The Totnes REconomy Project has followed an approach that seeks to nurture a for-benefit entrepreneurial culture, mobilise local capital, and build an 'enterprising ecosystem' that supports new actors, models, and relationships.
