Rough Sleeping Homelessness Hackathon
06 Dec - 02:45 PM
London, United Kingdom
Help us end Rough Sleeping in Hammersmith and Fulham.
Cllr Sue Fennimore, the Deputy Leader of Hammersmith & Fulham Council would like to invite you to an event about Rough Sleeping in H&F .
We are calling it a Hackathon – which is about bringing together people from all walks of life to help find innovative ways of ending rough sleeping in Hammersmith & Fulham.
You will probably know that in 2017 H&F set up an independent Rough Sleeping Commission to make recommendations about ending rough sleeping in H&F. We don’t think anyone should have to sleep rough and are committed to ending rough sleeping in the borough. We know we can’t do this alone and want your experience and help to find solutions.
We want the event to be lively and energetic and we’d like you bring your staff, volunteers and residents who have experience of homelessness in H&F. We will send you some publicity information shortly to help you publicise the event in your organisation. There will be light refreshments available.
If you have any questions please contact Rebecca Richardson rebecca.richardson@lbhf.gov.uk or on 07827879659.
We really look forward to seeing you on 6/12/18. Help us end rough sleeping in H&F.
Thanks

SINC_HACK >17%
06 Oct - 08:00 AM
Brighton, United Kingdom
As part of Brighton Digital Festival and in honour of Ada Lovelace Day (9th October), Sussex Innovation Centre is hosting its first hackathon! The inaugural SINC_HACK is based around the theme of >17%.
Women make up just 17% of employees the UK tech sector, and only 17% of start-ups have female founders. The problem has many contributing factors, from the stigma around girls going into STEM subjects, to the gender pay gap, unconscious bias in the workplace and under-representation of women in management roles.
On Saturday 6th October, we'll welcome teams of developers, creatives, freelancers, students and researchers, who will work together over 12 hours to find and design innovative solutions to these challenges and more. There'll be several bitesize learning and creative exercises throughout the day, delivered by the Sussex Innovation team and our partners. Finally, food, drink and SINC_HACK goodie bags will be provided, as well as prizes for the winning team.
Places are limited so once you have registered your interest you will be sent an application form to complete. Successful applicants will then be sent a "hack pack" with full details of the day.
