The Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust invites you to come and make a difference by contributing your creativity and skills at the "What Matters to You Hackathon". You'll be presented with up to 10 challenge areas and you'll collaborate to develop solutions that can be trialled and evaluated.

You'll be provided with ARM mbed microcontrollers, sensors, and OS eco-system and challenged to build a working ARM powered device that addresses an IOT “Internet of things” market opportunity. Do you have ideas for an awesome, innovative IoT solution? Come and strut your stuff at the ARM Hackathon.

Interested in seeing real scientific ideas presented in new innovative ways? Want to see science teamwork at its best? Come to the env.infohackit evening presentations @Southampton. You'll see the project presentations made by teams of PhD environmental scientists, designers, developers and other creative types. They will present the results of their hackathon participation where they will compete to create the most exciting, informative and compelling infographics to communicate their research topics.

Come take part in BT Security’s hacking competition hosted at Surrey University. Try and hack websites, crack passwords, decode messages and break encryption. You will form into teams of between three and five people, and have three hours to try and complete as many hacking challenges as possible. Completing challenges earns you points and there will be prizes for the team with the most points at the end of the night! No prior hacking experience is required, you just need to be passionate about technology and up to the challenge. You are encouraged to use the internet during the event to help research solutions to the challenges.  No experience required.   Just bring your laptop. You'll be assigned a business case for a problem that a participating charity needs to solve: →re-designing their website or smartphone application, →building a proof of concept on using chat bots, augmented reality, and virtual reality or →helping them with data needs. The day will be focused on designing, developing, breaking the digital rulebook and helping move towards a more sustainable world through helping charities accelerate into the world of digital.

Come along to PubHack -- a 10-hour digital hackathon that takes place in a pub. Collaborate in teams of up to 4 strong and you'll have 10 hours to make something based on a theme -- that will be announced at 9am on the day!

Virtual Reality developers! Want to get your hands on the latest motion-tracked input controllers from Oculus? Participate in Oculus Touch 24hr VR Hackathon and get early access to the devices to understand their capabilities and learn how to develop with them! Collaborate in teams to create fun mini-games that make use of the capacitive, haptic motion-tracked controllers. You can be a coder, an artist, a designer or a bit of all three, you make sure your team has enough relevant skills to create a working build in Unity for evaluation.

We live in a culturally diverse country that promotes gender equality, and yet females and their views are under-represented — and often misrepresented — in the UK media. This summer, GlobalGirl Media UK will train its first cohort of girls in digital media! This is an an amazing opportunity for girls to create and share digital journalism designed to ignite community activism and spark social change.
